Mickey Mouse, Marilyn Monroe and the Mona Lisa — all figures of pop culture and history — are being transformed to make them more representative of people of color. “I make the Latin world, like me, feel like part of it,” explains American-Mexican artist Linda Vallejo, whose 125 works are on display in California until January 2020.
