At a time when international tensions are running high, Serbia is trying to keep a balance between the EU and NATO on the one hand and Russia – on the other. An aspiring EU member, Serbia refuses to give up its historic ties with Moscow. And with the memories of NATO’s bombing of Serbia in 1999 still fresh, closer cooperation with the alliance is unpopular in the country. Will Serbia be able to maintain its neutrality?
