Two Eurasian lynx babies — a critically endangered species in Bulgaria — make their first steps out with their mother after they were born on May 3 in the Sofia Zoo. This is the first Eurasian lynx birth in the zoo since 2011. The cubs, which will turn two months’ old on 3 July 2020, weigh about one kilogramme (two pounds) and measure the size of ordinary cats now. They have not been named yet but zoo officials hope that they will be a boy and a girl.
