Australian Law Helps Daughter of Anonymous Sperm Donor Find Her Father

Nearly four decades ago, Peter Peacock’s anonymous sperm donation brought Gypsy Diamond to life. Now, an Australian law erasing sperm donors’ anonymity has brought them together.

For years, the sperm and egg donation industry was swathed in secrecy. Donors were typically told that any offspring would never know who they were. But a new law in one Australian state has given those children the legal right to know who their donors are, no matter what those donors were promised.
