Skankandbass is dedicated towards the official promotion of record labels and artists in the world of drum & bass music. Since inception in 2009, Skankandbass has unearthed some of the freshest talents in the scene and has opened many doors for unsigned artists. Now, through Skankandbass Records we release a series of free download singles which aims to further help spread the work of the best unsigned, newcomer artists who deserve more recognition.
After our landmark SNB050, we return to our Free Download Series courtesy of Welsh talent Karma. A former Shogun Audio signee, he made a name for himself with a series of explosive dancefloor tracks, including the heavily supported ‘Terminal’. He now marks his return from an extended hiatus with SNB051, showing off his sonic versatility with sublime A-side ‘Submerged’, contrasted by the face melting ‘Pulse Waves’.

‘Tunnel Bass’ is released 10th November 2017
Tribes Vol.1 was a show stopper, such a killer release and arguably the one that put Trust Audio on the map. Tribes Vol.2 very much continues where Vol.1 left us, continuing with the global ethos that inspires the project and introduces two new artists to the label, Criteria from Italy & Evasion from Wales, alongside Londoner & Trust Audio’s very own Trex.
Evasion comes in with a monster roller entitled Tunnel Bass, continuing with the dark and eerie tones but taking you on a roller-coaster ride that just gets more and more intense as the tune evolves. Impressive stuff from the Welsh newcomer.

Lung “Wait Less Suspense” is out on Med School Music on 16th September.

Taken from the forthcoming Fifteen Years of Hospital Records album, released 28.11.11 on Hospital.
Bringing together a superb collection of VIPs, remixes and original material, the “Fifteen Years Of Hospital Records” album provides a comprehensive overview of the label’s past, present and future.
High Contrast’s VIP mix of “If We Ever” heads up the first side of sampler one as the Welsh wonder returns to one of his most iconic dancefloor tunes. Originally released in 2007, he adds a glossy finish to the original, updating it from the feel-good, hands-in-the-air anthem of old into a new incarnation. Transporting it straight into 2011 with accentuated mournful strings and extended instrumental passages, High Contrast gives it his Midas touch, as the tune falls into the drop with turbo-charged bassline and tech-y drums to
surprise us all. A classic that is given a new lease of life!
This significant update breaths new life into the original “If We Ever”, which has now sold well in excess of 10,000 copies on vinyl — a massive feat in the days of continued vinyl decline.
