RAW: Chile students clash with police in rally against sexual harassment

Student protesters rallied against sexual harassment in Santiago, Chile, on Tuesday, prompted by alleged sexual assaults by staff at the University of Santiago.
The protesters lit torches and burned a dummy representing men who assault and harass women. Police deployed water cannon against the demonstrators after the students hurled torches at a police vehicle. Several arrests were made.

Chilean police disperse May Day demo with water cannon

Police used water cannon against demonstrators who took to the streets of Santiago on International Workers’ Day, Monday. Protesters gathered in the centre of the Chilean capital and faced off with police armed vehicles on the southern side of the city’s main avenue, the Alameda, near the University of Santiago.
