“In other words no pressure because you know what, there was no pressure” says US President Donald Trump as reporters ask him and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky about their controversial phone call. The two were meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly after Democrats launched an impeachment investigation into President Trump.

UK’s Johnson bemuses with unconventional UN speech | AFP

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson delivered an unconventional speech at the UN General Assembly, drawing laughs and baffled looks from delegates. Johnson struck a light tone on a serious subject as he warned of technology’s capacity to control citizens. And he referenced one of his favorite subjects, Greek mythology, by telling the story of Zeus punishing Prometheus by ensuring that an eagle ate his liver over and over again.

Stolen ancient artefact returns from US to Iran museum

Iranians visit Tehran’s national museum after a twice-stolen ancient Persian artefact, approximately 25 centuries old, depicting the head of a soldier from a line of Immortal Guards, was returned to Iran following a New York court order. The limestone relief was handed over to Iran’s representative at the United Nations last month and was personally brought back to Iran by President Hassan Rouhani, returning from the UN General Assembly.
