Download ‘NSEW’ for free – http://bit.ly/SNB025

Skankandbass is dedicated towards the official promotion of record labels and artists in the world of drum & bass music. Since inception in 2010, Skankandbass has unearthed some of the freshest talents in the scene and has opened many doors for unsigned artists. Now, a few years in to the game, Skankandbass decides to take on the role of a record label to put together a series of free download singles which aims to further help spread the work of the best unsigned, newcomer artists who deserve more recognition.

Rohm is William Joret, a 24 year old Belgian Producer/DJ based in Antwerp, Belgium. His music is mainly influenced by the sounds of The Prodigy, Mefjus, InsideInfo, June Miller, Noisia, and Spor just to name a few. After years of hard work, we’re excited to unleash Rohm’s first single in to the Drum & Bass world – look out for this guy in the near future!

With both their newer output and pivotal classic releases still rocking dancefloors, Bad Company UK remain at the helm of drum & bass worldwide. With a history which spans across both groundbreaking singles and albums, their music has laid the foundations for one of dance music’s most revered subgenres.

Joining the ranks of Ram Records last year, Bad Company UK have continued to push boundaries and raise the bar. Their remix of The Day is My Enemy by The Prodigy stood tall as their smashing Ram debut and original  tracks  Nomad and Equilibrium have demonstrated their desire and ability to deliver at the highest level once again. Following recent tour activity which has taken them from the USA to New Zealand and from Japan to Eastern Europe next up Bad Company UK return with Tetris.

Tetris provides a nod to the sound which made Bad Company UK so infamous whilst bringing the 2017 flavour also . With a sliced and diced old-school sample filtering its way through the mix, D Bridge, Fresh, Maldini and Vegas waste no time in delivering a cut-throat anthem. Tetris defies any commercial pressures brought about by their global success, paying homage to their beginnings whilst propelling them into the future.
For fans old and new, Bad Company UK are back and are on fire.

Trei & North Base – Hostile Universe

Buy: http://smarturl.it/sodnb2016

Viper Recordings launched their new ‘The Sound of Drum & Bass’ compilation series last year to high acclaim worldwide. Registering in at #12 in the official UK Dance Albums chart, following the 2015 edition was going be a challenging task, but Futurebound’s forward thinking label is never one to shy away from a challenging task.

From start to finish, #SODNB is chock-full of Drum & Bass superstars; Matrix & Futurebound, Noisia, The Upbeats, Cyantific, The Prototypes, InsideInfo, Mefjus, Tantrum Desire, Rene LaVice, as well as legendary dance pioneers The Prodigy, who all sit seamlessly alongside Viper’s rising stars: Smooth, Trei, Mob Tactics, BMotion, and more.

With such a stacked lineup, at this point you’d think that was enough… but not when Futurebound is at the helm. Viper head honcho and A&R mastermind, Futurebound, has squeezed in 12 new unreleased Viper exclusive tracks from legends and newcomers such as: J Majik, Trei, North Base, Wickaman, Insomniax, Loko, Killer Hertz, Six Blade, Cynematic, Dossa & Locuzzed, Toronto Is Broken, NCT & Franky Nuts, Citybox, and Octo-Pi & Modify Perspective. This all wrapped up with a bonus DJ mix by the mighty Koven.

A stringent prototype was smashed by Rene LaVice’s ‘The Calling’; it was propelled onto Radio1’s A-list whilst crossing the boundary between commercial and underground, pulling in fans from the depths of both audiences. And since his move to London last year, he’s certainly made his mark felt in the world’s drum & bass capital… Both on stage and across the radio airwaves.
‘Hotblooded’ is the next output from Rene, which perfectly follows up the success of its predecessor. A creeping, eerie vocal track which explodes on impact and ricochets throughout, ‘Hotblooded’ yet again exposes his monstrous capabilities as an electronic producer.
The cinematic roller hastily brings you forward on clashing percussion and a distorted reece, creating a conundrum of carefully crafted chaos, but one which Rene’s commands. Perfecting his art, it ingeniously merges a more humanistic element with the smash, crash and reverberating instruments which have given him notoriety.
Then up next is pulsing riddim ‘Bill Folderson’. A snarling slab of bass propped against driving, pounding drum loops, it’s a nasty flipside which pedestals Rene’s spectrum of creativity. Snips of sample separate shaking hi-hats after a resounding break. Compact, yet an intimidating roller, it embodies a murkier side characterised by former productions such as ‘Pipe’ and ‘Freudian’.
Rene is no stranger to dipping into a wide range of genres. With elevating synths and pumping bass, ‘Combustible’ offers up a fresh uptake and clearly points to Rene’s background across an array of styles.
A seismic build up leading into a stomach-lurch drop gives images of packed out club-nights and the late-night atmosphere which this kind of record is renowned for detonating.
So here comes the highly-anticipated next single from Rene LaVice. After the attainment of his last single, and the critical acclamation which was met by remixes from the likes of Nero, The Prodigy and Rae Morris, prepare for the spotlight to be held firmly on Rene for quite some time.
