Former Kosovo PM Haradinaj arrives at special war crimes court | AFP

Ramush Haradinaj, who resigned as Kosovo’s Prime Minister, arrives at the Kosovo special court in The Hague to be questioned on suspicions of war crimes. Jakup Krasniqi, former president of Parliament and former spokesman for the Kosovo Liberation Army (UCK), is also appearing at the tribunal. The EU-backed special war crimes court for Kosovo was established in 2015 to try war crimes allegedly committed by ethnic Albanian guerrillas against minority Serbs and Roma and local Albanian political opponents during and immediately after the 1998-1999 independence war against Serbia. Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has voted in the European elections in The Hague. The Netheralnds and UK kicked off four days of voting across the 28-nation bloc that pits supporters of deeper integration against populist Euroskeptics who want more power for their national governments.

Karadzic faces final war crimes verdict in The Hague

The Appeals Chamber of the International Residual Mechanism Tribunals is expected to issue a ruling on former Bosnian Serb Leader Radovan Karadzic’s appeal in The Hague on Wednesday, March 20.

In March 2016, a UN tribunal for the former Yugoslavia found Karadzic guilty of 10 out of 11 counts of genocide, war crimes and other atrocities committed during the Bosnian War. Some of the charges were linked to involvement in the Srebrenica massacre of July 1995.
