Mitekiss – Tonic

Buy or steam ‘Object To Push’ here:
https://www.Mitekiss.lnk.to/objectstopushyc

Since the release of his debut album ‘Crate Six Seven’, that received support from liquid pioneers Technimatic, Makoto, Etherwood and BCee, Mitekiss has been cooking up his latest venture with Hospital Records, the ‘Objects To Push’ EP. Consisting of four sublime tracks that explore the soulful, deeper domains of drum & bass. The musicality and versatility of Mitekiss’ production are brought to light once more, drawing for his love of jazz, disco and 174 beats.

‘Matter (feat. Vonné)’ eases in with elegant melodies, soothing piano flourishes and the eloquent vocal hooks of London based singer-songwriter Vonné. Named after dark matter, “which represents the lyrics ‘gravity pulling me under’”, explains Mitekiss. Smooth liquid-jazz bubbler ‘Tonic’ follows, as hypnotising pads and sophisticated piano licks rest delicately upon a blues-style upright bassline and rolling breakbeats.

Teaming up with Bristol’s Ruth Royall, ‘Magic’ adds a touch of undeniable euphoria to the EP. A classic feel-good drum & bass anthem that pays homage to Mitekiss’ love for all things uplifting and heartfelt. Last but certainly not least, ‘Charter’ brings the EP to a close. Darker, spellbinding atmospherics and hard hitting bass stabs are a clear demonstration of the depths of the EP.

With ‘Objects To Push’ Mitekiss has continued to develop his soulful, liquid-jazz sound, further cementing his unique standing in drum & bass territory. The successes of his contributions to the scene include his regular ‘Mitekast’ podcast and weekly ‘Rhythm Roulette’ tutorial series, as well as releases on Shogun Audio, Skankandbass and his own imprint Goldfat Records, that have seen Mitekiss appraised as a producer’s producer who is here to stay.

Makoto – Mystic Crystals (feat. Technimatic)

Buy or Stream ‘Tomodachi Sessions’ here: https://Makoto.lnk.to/TomodachiSessionsyc

As one of the founders of Japan’s drum & bass culture, Makoto is a man who needs little introduction. On his sixth studio album, ‘Tomodachi Sessions’, he presents 15-tracks of exquisite, sun-drenched drum & bass soul. Each and every track is a collaboration with a close friend, that has played a part in his twenty-year career, with the likes of DJ Marky, S.P.Y, Bop, MC Conrad, Pola & Bryson, Degs, Karina Ramage and more.

The uplifting summer number, ‘Shine On Through’ is a collaboration with the young breakthrough producer Mountain from Osaka, Japan. Makoto’s signature sound is brought into 2019, soaked in a warm rolling bassline, energetic synths and topped off with vocals from the outstanding singer/songwriter Karina Ramage.

The instrumental masterpiece ‘Kosa’ features Med School’s orchestral maverick Keeno and is the perfect combination of powerful soul, epic strings and dynamic drumwork.

‘Morning Sunrise’, is a majestic dose of drum & bass and is the team effort of Makoto, Danny Wheeler and G Force. It also brings in the vocal powerhouse Blu James, also known from the Basement Jaxx classic ‘Red Alert’.

Having gained respect for the quality of his music since the days of LTJ Bukem’s Good Looking Records, Makoto has gone from strength to strength with an impressive discography that includes seminal classics like ‘Golden Girl’ ft. MC Conrad. Makoto can be found at a number of events and festivals this summer, including Hospitality In The Park 2019, Sun & Bass, Liquicity, Standon Calling, and more.

Impish – ‘Lazy Sundayz’ ft. Shawn Sanderson & Squarewave

Impish
Take Back / Lazy Sundayz feat. Shawn Sanderson & Squarewave
PRGRAM089
____

Moscow born artist Impish has used his influences of funk, rock and heavy metal to produce music which saw him signed to the Program imprint, the sister-label of esteemed Ram Records. An avid vinyl collector, he’s channelled his love for electronic music into his work and this was first noticed by Program through the singing of double-sided single ‘Burning / Leave Me’. With support from DJ Marky, DJ Hype, Spectrasoul and Technimatic, he’s now capitalised on this success for another forthcoming single on Program, which comes in the form of ‘Take Back’ and ‘Lazy Sundayz’.

‘Take Back’ is given its hook through singing female vocals and a bass melody lead, whilst ‘Lazy Sundayz’ features Shawn Sanderson and Squarewave for a summertime heavy hitter. They’re two more feel-good tracks from Impish, proving that once again it’s time to get with the Program, now taking you through the warmer seasons.

Technimatic – The Evening Loop (Was A Be Remix)

Our next London event – 27th September: http://bit.ly/SNB-RA // attend on Facebook: http://bit.ly/SNB-FB

Buy Was A Be’s remix – https://technimatic.lnk.to/RemixedSP

The first Technimatic release since their breathtaking ‘Better Perspective’ sophomore album of last year, ‘Technimatic Remixed’ is a collection of some their greatest work to date brought kicking into 2017 by some of Pete & Andy’s favourite producers of now. Break, Alix Perez, Fracture, Was A Be and LSB all feature giving their own personal takes on some already seminal Technimatic moments.

“We have never had a remix project of our work so this is a really fun one for us. You kind of get scared but excited at the same time as you wait for each track to come back! But all the guys on this project are guys we admire and respect greatly so we knew they would deliver the goods. ‘Bristol’ was just made for Break to do, we’d actually earmarked that one a couple of years ago for him. LSB is just on fire with his work at the moment, Alix we’ve loved since before we joined Shogun, Fracture was our only choice on ‘Trigger Warning’ as he’s just the don for that sound and we’ve been really impressed by new Shogun family members Was A Be. Also we felt we’d like to contribute something to the project so we picked one of our favourite tunes with Lucy Kitchen and gave it a little sprucing up. The ‘Night Vision VIP’ has been doing damage in our sets for months now so we felt it rounded the EP off nicely. We hope you guys enjoy it as much as we have been!” Technimatic
