___

Welcome to the RamLive weekly House Party, showcasing the very best D&B talent from the comfort of your homes.

In conjunction with our RAMLive series we’ll be asking bedroom DJs with either streaming or video/audio recording capabilities to send in their best mixes to be debuted alongside our stacked line ups. We’d love to give back to the fans who have kept this label running and who will continue to do so after this trying period.

We’re bringing the rave to you, and the ability for you to take part too.

If you’d like to be in with the chance to take part, please contact info@ramrecords.com

We’re all in this together – so let’s still party together, even at home!

SyRan – ‘Telepathy’

The SyRan brothers made their debut on Ram Records towards the end of 2019. Their ‘Paradigm’ EP brought together three brand new tracks from a relatively unknown pair, proving Ram still stands as a springboard for the careers of many producers.
After the success of their cut ‘Big Rig’ which featured on sister-label Program’s anticipated 100th release, receiving support from the likes of Andy C and A.M.C, they deliver another record for Ram in the form of ‘Telepathy’. A growling, bass-heavy sub-shaker, with jungle rave-stabs and patches of melody, ‘Telepathy’ is another careful selection from SyRan. It highlights how, despite having very little background, they were offered the Ram platform.

SyRan – ‘Big Rig’

Various Artists
ProgRAM 100
PRGRAM100

The landmark 100th release from Program has finally arrived; following the sampler, fan’s appetites have been whet for the full release and it packs a massive fifty-four exclusives. Including names which helped the label’s rise and those who have enabled it to stay as one of the defining underground imprints of the contemporary market, there’s a host of artists who’ve been brought in to celebrate this monumental part of its journey.

Program’s commitment to emerging producers is still displayed across the album’s track listing. However, after the sampler which included the notorious ‘Bassline Secret’ rework from Skantia, as well as the Calyx & Teebee remix of ‘House of Cards’, its first delivery was anticipated before it was announced, due to the dubplates which had already entered club spaces., This is the full album release you’ve been waiting for and it highlights another step in the progression of Ram’s sister-label, nearly a decade in the making.

So once again… It’s time to get with the Program.

____

Coming via the RAM demo inbox and with tracks currently getting the Andy C seal of approval – including in his Rampage 2019 set – you may not have heard of SyRan: but after their debut EP you’re definitely about to.

Not much is known about the duo, whose minimal online presence allows their music to do the talking for them. From the warped, stuttering low end of title track to the long drawn out bass and aggressive breaks of ‘Seen Savage’, the EP rounds off with a naughty VIP version of Ransome’s ‘No Laughter’.

‘Paradigm’ is the sound of two producers ready to break out from under the radar with support from the biggest label and DJ the scene has to offer. SyRan are ones to watch.
