Arkaik – No Playing

Buy ‘Shapes’: http://bit.ly/1TH7t5P

Springing into the Dispatch inbox at the start of 2016, UK export Arkaik delivered quite possibly his best music to date; fine-tuned from his lab in Shanghai, the ‘Shapes EP’ was confirmed for release almost instantly after the 4 individual track demos were first listened to.

A long standing label supporter, emerging from our ‘10 Years’ milestone, Arkaik’s impeccable production skill has never been underestimated; his 2011 debut vinyl release earned by winning Octane & DLR’s sample pack competition.

This debut EP from him, however, demonstrates an incredible development in the maturity of his sound, with infectious, natural grooves remaining prevalent amongst technical meridians, as Arkaik brings us a quintessential cut of Dispatch tech funk.

Seriously raising the bar, the EP is rife with memorable features; including title track ‘Shapes’ with ultra-talented Dutch prodigy Signal, the distinctive bass stabs of razor sharp ‘Chu Kou’, neck snapping roller ‘Steve’ and glitch ridden ‘No Playing’ – we proudly welcome Arkaik back to Dispatch with a stellar EP.
