NYPD: Man in St. Pats had “intent to set a fire”

Police say a man arrested after entering St. Patrick’s Cathedral with two cans of gasoline, lighter fluid and butane lighters had also been arrested at a New Jersey cathedral a few days ago. New York police say 37-year-old Marc Lamparello is facing charges including attempted arson and reckless endangerment. (April 18)

A New Jersey man was arrested Wednesday night after entering St. Patrick’s Cathedral carrying two cans of gasoline, lighter fluid and butane lighters, according to the New York Police Department. (April 18)

When police arrived to arrest the troublemakers, one of the women raised her hand at an officer, but was immediately knocked down to the ground and tased by the sergeant.
