Residents of Venezuela’s San Cristobal block main avenues to protest against gasoline shortages, as some have to spend up to eight hours to fill up.
Heavy clashes erupted between security forces and protesters in the Venezuelan city of San Cristobal, Monday, after unknown assailants hijacked two vehicles and set them on fire in Ferrero Avenue. The National Guard and the Bolivarian National Police arrived to the Tachira capital to disperse the protesters, who responded to rubber bullets and tear gas with Molotov cocktails. Police arrested at least six protesters following the clashes.
