Salaryman & Covert Garden – ‘Hidden Shadows’

Salaryman & Covert Garden – ‘Hidden Shadows’ & ‘Tomorrow Is Yesterday’
ProgRAM087

____

First partnering up for ‘Verve’ on last year’s RAM Annual compilation, Salaryman and Covert Garden return, this time with a two-tracker for ProgRAM.

Where their prior collab veered down the liquid route, the Anglo-French duo switch things up completely – ‘Hidden Shadows’ is all bone rattling lead bass and guttural effects, while ‘Tomorrow Is Yesterday’ is a classic techy roller.

Once again it’s time to get with the ProgRAM.

Salaryman- ‘Glow’

Salaryman
Program
PRGRAM068
‘Glow EP’
Released 21st September

Following the success of his ‘Piece of Cake’ EP on Program earlier this year, Salaryman returns to the pioneering underground imprint for yet another 2018 release. The producer’s work rate is enviable and he manages to capitalise on this platform to present another collection of music for his ever-growing audience. The ‘Glow EP’ resonates with the same technical appeal as its predecessor, whilst it also exercises the same heartfelt harmonies and expertly created melodies which are becoming a signature for Salaryman.

The five brand new tracks from Salaryman are yet another look into how Program and the producer have grown together during his journey as a producer. ‘Don’t Want To Be In Love’ has an intro peppered with orchestral instrumentals, the type which stream through the mix and lead into an emotive breakdown. ‘The World On A String’ builds gradually and you’re made aware of its shaking, vocal samples through each peaking segment. ‘Nocturnal Stories VIP’ takes an already well-loved original and gives it a new face, whilst ‘Heart Games’ has a jazzier undertone with its patches of percussion. Then finally, title-track ‘Glow’ is more grating, although the track’s ghost-like vocals sift through the mix and give it a softer hue.

So once again, it’s time to get with the Program – one which has helped build many artists like Salaryman, right from their first release.

Creatures – Mirage

Buy iTunes: http://apple.co/1PTQ1Xh
Stream Spotify: http://bit.ly/1T8glwN

Infidelity Records are proud to present their latest signing and hot tip to take the D&B World by storm. In come, Creatures.

The Lost Gods EP is their 1st solo project with Infidelity Records, following on from their label debut on the recent ‘Calm B4 The Storm Remix EP’, which also included remixes from label regulars TerraHawk, plus Dope Tingz (Dope Ammo & Run Tingz Cru) and Salaryman.

Harvey, Jake and Ben (Creatures) have been in talks with the Infidelity camp for a while now and there is a full plan in place for a broad and exciting release schedule over the next year. There are collaborative EP’s in pipeline alongside TerraHawk, Subtle Element, Safety In Numbers & Bass Sheriff, as well remix work and further solo EP’s due for release on Infidelity Records and it’s sister label Ramajam Recordings.

This current offering has a Greek mythology theme throughout, with the connection between the title ‘Lost Gods EP’, the track titles (Mirage, Hades, Desert Shadow and Cerberus) and the deeper tech-minded style prominent across the body of work. This is certainly a slightly different direction than we have seen in previous releases on Infidelity, however the label is more than willing to endorse talent of this magnitude from across the D&B scene.

Program presents: ENCRYPTED 1.0 LP

Hibernating against an already impressively tight discography, Program has been biding its time in unleashing this next release.
With some of the genre’s most technically adept artists, the track-listing alone is enough to grab your attention. There is a high calibre of production standard present throughout the LP, audible from start to finish.
Whether you become submerged by Freek’s rolling ‘Enamoured’, accompanied by the pristine vocals of Pia Thaleia, or captured by the apocalyptic sounds of Slang Banger’s ‘Slaughter House’, every taste is catered for. Program sets aside its older sister label Ram and creates a breathing space, allowing it to grow. The label is a heavyweight in its own right; this album is only reaffirms that fact.
And such a range of versatility comes with names both old and new. L 33 returns to the imprint, with clashing bass conundrum ‘Manipulate’. Gerra & Stone also make an anticipated reappearance; their contribution ‘Po’rdosol’ is a steppy riddim constructed through a medley of beats and sliced up sample.
But relative newcomer Elliott Mac uses the LP as a pedestal for another stellar production. The budding artist flexes his capabilities across the soundscape of ‘Filter City’, delicately composed yet highly intricate. It’s demonstrative of Program’s dedication to emerging artists, sifting through cyberspace to showcase some of the best acts the underground has to offer.
So now it’s time to prepare your subs and plug in your speakers – Program have made a welcome return, further solidifying their position as leading tastemakers with a quality ensured guarantee. It’s once again, time to get with the Program!

The waiting is finally over… We’re about to unleash your soundtrack for the next Music week in Miami and it’s packed full of exclusives. With no less than 28 brand new cuts accompanying you onto one of the world’s hottests beaches, prepare for the smooth riding riddims of Ram Records to envelop the US and beyond.

From label stalwarts Delta Heavy, to new signees Teddy Killerz and championed guests Gerra & Stone, there’s a musical taste to suit every palette. Whether it’s from a renowned roster artist or a relative newcomer, this compilation bursting with heaps of exclusives is the only way to launch you headfirst into the innovation drum & bass is renowned for.

Carefully finessing this album, the Ram imprint is about to drum & bass for a transatlantic journey. It’s a showcase of what the genre can offer… electric vibes which pulses through its veins and cherished memories of a tempo which pulls you into the morning’s early hours.

But with the Miami conference pedestalling every major genre which has made electronic music so popular, there would be a void if Ram didn’t step up. And as one of the most withstanding labels from the last two decades, they’ve delivered with immense style. You’re provided with a host of smooth basslines and hotly tantalising vocals to take you from pool-party to clubs at some of the most renowned districts.

Audio is first to deliver, crashing in at full speed and leaving no survivors with the tear out anthem which is ‘Combust’. Then taking you into a web of technicality and meticulous composition is Calyx & Teebee’s ‘Wipe Out’. There are also a huge selection of Vips to firmly solidify why it’s important to revisit tunes which are still to this day so highly sought after; leading the way is Loadstar’s ‘Under Pressure’ Vip, which set a stunning precedent in 2014.

So, now it’s time take the legacy of Hornchurch to Miami and lay down the same roots which are still prevalent throughout the UK today. And adding that to Miami’s reputation, it’s a match which is set to make history.

Miami Music Week: THE most important gathering in dance music since time began. An essential sun-kissed calendar date for artists, industry influencers and enthusiasts alike… Whatever your genre persuasion, if you’re serious about the dance then Miami welcomes with you open arms. David Beckham’s not the only Brit taking over Miami this winter!

Ram Records have represented at this annual meeting of musical minds since day one. Cutting through dance music’s ever-changing fads and flavours with their demonstrative D&B message, they have achieved a rock-solid standing as the most important drum & bass event there. With over a thousand parties happening throughout the event — from VIP pool parties to the epic multi-arena beast Ultra — Ram have worked hard to create this sterling reputation.

This year will be no exception: the label have secured another session at Mekka. One of Downtown Miami’s most desired venues, it will be home to RAMiami with a line-up that reads like a who’s who in D&B: Andy C, Ed Rush & Optical, Wilkinson, Loadstar, Rene LaVice and Delta Heavy.

To celebrate, they’ve curated ‘RAMiami 2014’. Just like their Mekka mission, it’s an all-star cast that represents the broadest scope and most vibrant colour of drum & bass. It’s yet another reminder of how extensive and timeless Ram’s repertoire truly is.

Showcasing drum & bass’s unique melting pot with depth and clarity, every possible style can be enjoyed on ‘RAMiami 2014’: The spine-melting euphoria of Loadstar’s ‘BLVD’. The dreamy melodic textures of Culture Shock’s ‘Ohrwurm’. The grizzle-bass badness of Noisia’s ‘Façade VIP’. The ludicrous rudeness of Roni Size’s ‘Hotness’ remix. The organic instrumentation of Sub Focus’s ‘Flamenco’. The savage steel drum of Moving Fusion’s ‘Chilli Pepper’… The list goes on.

No Ram album is complete without exclusives, too. And amongst this explorative 16 track tale you’ll find three next-level specials that are unavailable anywhere else. Recent Drum&BassArena Artist Of The Week Salaryman dusts his jazz piano and slinky double bass off for ‘My Future’. Mob Tactics, meanwhile, deliver the dark and devious ‘Joe Mangle’. Boasting multi-faceted bass textures and a switch-flipping dynamic on the drop, it’s one of the duo’s best tunes to date. The third exclusive comes from Bluescreens. Last spotted on Ram’s ‘RAMsterdam 2013’ album, here we find them developing their full-throttle audio adventure ‘Strike One’ with a spectacular second part. Flexing a muscular bassline and raw, pummelling drums, it’s a fittingly dramatic finale to yet another exciting, extensive Ram collection.

Miami wouldn’t be the same without Ram’s heavyweight presence. Both their Mekka line-up and this collection of exclusives and timeless classics show exactly why.

Chase & Status Loadstar, Mind Vortex, Optical, Zeds Dead, El Hornet, Specrtrasoul, S.P.Y Calvertron, Chords, Shock One, Crissy Criss, Drumsound, EastColors, Rene LAvice, Futurebound, High Contrast, Nu Tone, Doc Scott, TC, Dillinja, Sub Focus, Ed Rush, Taxman
