Activist and former addict Peter Krykant has created a drug consumption van that he hopes will “pull users out of dark, rat-infested alleyways” in Glasgow and into a sterile environment where they can receive help and support. Scotland, which had 1,187 drug-related deaths in 2018, has one of the highest drug death rates in the world, according to government figures.
