RAMLive – Aurora

After hitting you with four sets taken from our Eastern Electrics takeover during August, we return to the Green Room of XOYO for another RAMLive rollout. Still committed to bringing you undiscovered talent or DJ’s who might fly under your radar, this month we bring you Aurora. Another name drawn from the numerous mix submissions we’ve had since launching in February, Aurora has started to make a name for herself, with sets at Spearhead and Outlook Festival already under her belt – including warming up for none other than Calibre & DRS. With a passion for drum & bass cemented since hitting her first raves at 16 at venues such as The End and SE1, Aurora will guide you through a variety of styles, dishing out some liquid, some rollers and some jump up thrown in for good measure to create an eclectic mix for her RAMLive debut.

Submissions are still being considered so email your mixes to info@ramrecords.com and please remember to make them downloadable and make sure they do not expire – we don’t want to miss out on the next future participant!

Outlook Mini – Documentary series

In the build up to Outlook 2012 the festival reached out to young videographers and small production companies with a passion for the music at the event and a drive to capture it on video.

The task was to create a mini documentary each based on one musical area of the festival: Dub/Reggae, Hip-Hop, Drum and Bass, Future Beats and Dubstep.

The video crews chosen from the huge list of applications were given creative freedom and access at the event to create a small commentary on that genre of music at that time in 2012, we just gave them the platform.

The video series will be launching during March and April 2013 through various medias across the world-wide-web and will be assembled on the Outlook festival website at the end of April to view as a series.

A massive thank you to UTD and On-Par Productions, Bad Apple Media and Family Creative who were chosen to create these films.

We hope you enjoy them.

Outlook Festival xx
