Zimbabwean Afro-jazz legend ‘Tuku’ dies

Zimbabwean musician Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi, a star of Afro-jazz who won a following across the continent and beyond, died on Wednesday at the age of 66, his agent has told AFP.

Zimbabwean music legend nurturing young talent

When he was first starting out, Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi struggled to get his music career off the ground. But now, many years later, the 65-year-old Zimbabwean Afro-jazz sensation has taken what he learnt and is helping young and aspiring artists find their place in the industry through what he calls his arts village.
