Paintings signed ‘A. Hitler’ up for sale in Nuremberg

Five watercolours signed “A. Hitler” will be auctioned off at the Weidler auction house in the southern German city of Nuremberg. 26 other artworks attributed to Adolf Hitler were also due to be put up for sale, but plans were scrapped after doubts emerged about their authenticity. IMAGES of the five paintings due to go on sale on Saturday

Germany: One killed and at least 12 injured in Ansbach bar bomb

At least one person has been killed and 12 more injured after an explosive device was set off in a bar in Ansbach, near Nuremberg, Sunday. Mayor Carda Seidel confirmed that an explosive device was involved in the blast. Other details of the explosion are yet to be unveiled. The detonation occurred in the vicinity of the open-air music festival ‘Ansbach Open’, which was discontinued following the incident. A total of 2,000 people were immediately evacuated from the area.
