Obeisant – Bass Drop

Obeisant is a very exciting new name within the Neuro scene that has managed to score the privilege for his own edition in Critical’s BINARY series. With only 470 followers on SoundCloud at the time of typing this, it is immediately obvious to me that this artist WILL grow and soon “Obeisant” will be a feared name – this is without a doubt. That being said, be one of the ones that can say you were on the boat extremely early on and follow this man quick! Catch this track on Critical’s “Binary Vol. 9” (2016).

Weapons Grade is a channel for uploading only the most forward thinking and stomping underground neurofunk. I will try my best to promote only the truly under-appreciated tunes that go lesser heard. Uploads will be frequent. Every track featured here has been purchased from the respective label, and is in 320 kbps (MP3) quality before upload. All artwork in every video is from http://www.wallhaven.cc/ unless otherwise stated! I won’t feature any track on this channel that isn’t advanced neurofunk and I will never monetize a video. This channel is purely for your entertainment and discovery, and for my hobby. I hope you guys enjoy thoroughly!

If there is a problem with any of the tracks uploaded, please consult with me by my email (found on my channel under “For business enquiries”). I will take necessary measures to make content owners satisfied with the state of their track, whether it be on the channel or not. If you wish to submit a track for possible upload, please send it to me via the same email.

Warp Fa2e – Brain Damage [Close 2 Death]

Would you look at that, another sound design and groove relic surfacing in the DnB world that happens to come from Russia (and definitely with love). Consistently smashing neurofunk imprint for several years now Close 2 Death is back again with a brand new and red hot album – Warp Fa2e’s “No Fear” LP! In the world of next-level neurofunk, you won’t find that it gets much better than this.
Warp Fa2e made his artist debut on YouSoFat with monster of a tune called “Cracks” in 2014, and now with a handful of singles and EPs on labels like Greypost Audio and even this one, the Russian badman up-and-comer is ready for his career beginning full length album. “No Fear” LP proudly boasts ten solid tracks that are far from minimal. This is not DnB for the weak or feeble, this is as hard and thrashing as technological neuro goes without turning into just plain crossbreed or hardcore. With tunes like “Fatman” showcasing a really slick Telekinesis-like sound and anthems like “Total Destruction” and title track “No Fear” (featuring the likes of Neuro lyrical badman Coppa himself), it should go without saying that this one is an absolute staple for the record bag.

Covert – Exhaust

A good amount of you guys who are here from the subscriber feed or from Reddit / Facebook might not have heard of Covert yet. Covert is a very young EDM talent based in New York. He gained his first bit of deserved recognition in 2014 when one of his Neurofunk tracks was reposted and even uploaded on the official DnB SoundCloud account, hosted by The EDM Network. Eventually, said track “Dépêchez-Vous” attracted the likes of Neurofunkgrid, and from that point – he has been a Neuro producer that I have had my eyes on sharply. This kid has got some serious technical skill, and he knows how to make the human body move with his drums. This is a track he released for free on his SoundCloud before his rise to “fame” (2014).

Break & Kyo – Simpler Times

Very special upload today – a breathtaking and brand new track from scene veteran Break. Of course, alongside Kyo, but it’s hard to ignore the hype of someone like Break releasing new tunes. It doesn’t help the fact that this one is the title track from his newest album expecting to be released this year! Don’t let the liquid-esque intro fool you. This one is a Neuro roller underneath of all the bright sounds and instrumentals. “Simpler Times” and “Top Shooter” are available to the masses in full because Break and the other folks over at Symmetry were nice enough to give us a sampler! From the “Simpler Times LP Sampler 1” (2015).

Nouwa – Scorch

Classic banger from Neuro newcomer Nouwa, who has been popping in and out of the scene in terms of releases these past couple years with massive tracks from out of nowhere. “Scorch” from TAM’s “Underside 2” compilation LP (2013) is by far one of his most talked about tracks, and deservingly. Recently, we have seen that Nouwa is progressing and is managing to secure releases on major labels like Lifted’s sister label, Breed12Inches. It’s safe to say that the future is looking bright for this Russian mastermind.

Optiv & BTK – Don’t Need You

These two men should requires absolutely no introduction for the Neuro heads lurking this channel. Having releases on Virus and knowing that one of the members of this game-changing duo was an original member of Cause4Concern, it should come as a surprise to both you and me that I am the first uploader of this track in the year 2015. From the “Dirty Tricks” LP (2012) on Virus.

Heamy – Pop Up

Heamy is a Neuro newcomer that has proved he is ready for the big stages and big labels with a recent EP on Bad Taste! This is earlier than that though, a track from the Compilation LP “Third Blood LP” (2015) on YSF. “Pop Up” is definitely one of the show-stoppers of the release. To put things into perspective, Mefjus dropped this bomb at Pirate Station in February and the crowd detonated. Hope you guys enjoy this beast as much as I do!

Chalupiak – Beat The Horse

Chalupiak breaks into the Neuro scene HOT with his first ever release, “Beat The Horse / Consequences” (2014) with Muted. Voltage Recordings was happy to sign this banger, and I am happy to upload!

Gamma – Chavland

Out in February.

Plasma Audio mark the first step in their record label’s life with a huge remix of Safire & Amoss’ track “4th State feat Gusto”, from the Dutch production lord, Icicle, of Shogun Audio fame.

“Straight Up Like A Harrier”. Gusto’s words are not used lightly as Icicle’s remix wastes no time in warming up before firing itself straight upwards into a cloud of Neuro swirls and unrelenting synth stabs. A tune that guarantees to lay waste to any dance floor in its vicinity.

Safire and Amoss take the controls back again for the release’s flip side. After the dramatic entrance of the “4th State remix”, “Gamma” shows another glitchier and more minimal side to the Plasma imprint. Take a ride with the tune as it flows over peaks and troughs of progression and breakdown.
