Terrifying footage shows plane trying to land in strong crosswinds

An Enter Air flight from Frankfurt to Salzburg was forced to make a “go-around” manoeuvre on Sunday (October 29) after it had attempted to land in strong crosswinds.

Storm Herwart had been battering the region and off-duty cameraman Michael Hufnagl decided to start filming planes coming into land as he was out on a walk with his girlfriend.

While Hufnagl was filming he saw the flight from Germany come in to land and he followed its path as it attempted to touch down on the runway.

The pilot decided to abort the landing at the last minute after crosswinds bounced the plane off the runway, the plane then headed back to Germany and safely landed at Frankfurt airport.
