Tantrum Desire – Body Shot

Runaway Bass EP – Available to buy Sunday 7th Nov on vinyl & digital download.

This is without question Tantrum Desire’s biggest and boldest project to date. Across 4 tracks, the London crew prove when it comes to dance floor devastation, they are a serious force to be reckoned with. The title track ‘Runaway Blues’ kicks things off in blistering fashion, combining widescreen atmospherics and a slew of deadly basslines battling out over neck snapping beats. Both ‘Put Your Hands Up’ and ‘Body Shot’ are lessons in crowd manipulation, containing all the necessary weapons for maximum impact, and closing the EP is ‘Chill’ featuring Youngman, which takes things into stunning, swaggering half speed dirty funk territory.

Sick Music 2
RELEASE DATE: 26 APRIL 2010

One of the huge success stories on Hospital in 2009 was the SICK MUSIC album – which brought together established names along with complete newcomers across two incredible discs of post-millennial D+B supremacy. The latest bunch of ambulance chasing beats is looking highly likely to eclipse that success.

With Hospital debuts for Camo + Krooked, dubstep superstar Reso, Jonny L, and Ill Skillz, the compilation also features newcomers Stanza, Wilkinson and Royalston. Of course current big names are represented along with stars of last years Sick Music: Nu:Tone, Cyantific and B Complex all return to bring a new dose of aural excitement.

The musical content is varied too, from the hands in the air euphoria of Netskys Memory Lane to the atmospheric introspection of Dan Habarnams No Ballast. The only way to find out is to get your hands dirty and hear for yourself. With support on these tracks from DJs across the Drum & Bass spectrum as well as early radio support from Annie Mac.

Formats: 2×12″ vinyl, CD and digital download

Med School storms into a new decade and continues to push exhilarating up-and-coming artists with some of the freshest drum+bass rhythms you are likely to hear. ‘New Blood 010’ is an invigorating selection of finger-on-the-pulse boundary-pushing electronic music where only the top sonic surgeons make the grade. Delivered on two piece vinyl CD and digital download, this is essential listening!

This stunning album exudes a healthy dose of diverse sounds yet maintains a high level of consistency from start to finish. From the atmospheric depths of Synkro and Kharm right through to Enei’s damaging bass oscillations and the twisted dynamics of Royalston. Stripped-down dancefloor vibes provided by Electrolyte, DJ Madd, Derrick, Tonika and Implex are perfectly balanced by elegant and forward-thinking creations from Circa, Pryzma, So:Flow and Joe Syntax. There’s also a remix first for Med School as supercool producer Stray stamps his authority on the Boston-based ambient/electronica outfit Helios.

Having scoured the planet for the hottest talent, Med School delivers music from all corners of the globe from London to Australia, Hungary to Cornwall, Russia to Manchester, Germany to Belarus and Ukraine to Sheffield. These young practitioners have checked your vital signs and are ready to deliver the next prognosis with an array of scalpel-sharp sounds and rhythmical remedies. Keep ears and eyes peeled for these producers in 2010 and beyond!
