Fresh from his huge cover of the Beatles classic ‘Come Together’, Urbandawn steps into the fold with an utterly outrageous, monster remix of Chaka Demus’ ‘Forward & Pull Up’. This one speaks for itself, in Urbandawn’s trademark punchy, crunchy style.

The world of classic reggae, dancehall and bashment collides with drum & bass for a set of stellar remixes on the ‘Jet Star Meets Hospital’ compilation. The album features sixteen first-class reworks from London Electricity, S.P.Y, Danny Byrd, Nu:Tone, Urbandawn and more; all taking a 170BPM step-out on iconic reggae artists such as Barrington Levy, Alton Ellis, John Holt, Beenie Man, Horace Andy and more.

From dancehall classic to dancefloor banger, Hospital mainstay and esteemed soul-selector Nu:Tone applies his production savviness to Barrington Levy’s seminal reggae anthem, ‘Here I Come’. Stimulated from the ground up with a warm, rolling bassline and kitted out with skittering amens to boot.

The album is also the original home for Benny L’s infamous John Holt ‘Police In Helicopter’ remix, which shot to Beatport’s 1 spot across all genres, making both drum & bass and Beatport history.

The ‘Jet Star Meets Hospital’ project is the collaborative workings of the legendary reggae label Jet Star and leading drum & bass imprint Hospital Records. Also featured are hot and heavy remixes from Inja, Whiney, Saxxon, Particle, TI, Quadrant, Kid Hops & Iris, Pete Cannon, Double O & Mantra, and Think Tonk.

Other formats include CD, digital and streaming.

Logistics, the ever-ready and much-respected purveyor of the finest jungle flavoured rollers, brings us some superb new material in the run up to his fourth artist album, which will hit the shelves in April 2012.

We Are One was debuted as a world exclusive on Baileys Radio 1Xtra Drum + Bass Show during the Hospital Records takeover in January.

Injecting the original with a fresh, junglistic flavour, Logistics brings in the talents of older brother and fellow Hospital signing, Dan Nu:Tone, as they don their Nu:Logic guise to re-work We Are One into a massive amen-driven monster. The pair neatly juxtapose crashing drum rolls and punishing subs with twinkling piano melodies and stretch out the vocal to become a more harmonious, ethereal presence. Sublime stuff here, which is guaranteed to tear up the dancefloor!

Over on the flipside its Logistics original piece Timelapse. This one builds from an expansive, widescreen intro into a euphoric, vocal-driven drop and into the main tune, which is dominated by rippling synths, punchy drums with a gritty bassline whirring below and a vocal calling come to me save me. Giving us a glimpse of what we can expect on forthcoming album, this is the sound of classic Hospital.
