James Bond-inspired French guitar company rocking the USA | AFP

Thanks to an innovative concept, a swivel pickup inspired by James Bond which allows musicians to swith styles and, therefore, use just one guitar instead of several, a small electric guitar company from the Allier region of France is taking the American market by storm. Rock bands Guns N’Roses and ZZ Top are already fans of Wild Customs guitars, which employs just five people.

How Aston Martin Cars Are Made

James Bond may be a fictional character, but his effect on Aston Martin is very much real. In the decades since its first appearance, Aston Martin has developed into a global luxury brand that generated more than $1 billion in revenue in 2017. Despite the Hollywood fame and the recent IPO, the company has had its fair share of Financial troubles, going bankrupt seven times in 105 years.

Real-life Aston Martins don’t have ejector seats like in James Bond, but they do take 200 man-hours to make. Cars can spend up to 50 hours at the paint shop as employees perfect the look on each Aston.

The Best Concept Cars of 2017

These are some of our favorite concept cars that we have featured throughout the year of 2017. Following is a transcript of the video.

#1

The “Hum Rider” has hydraulic lifts in the wheels. They push 9 feet into the air. Plenty of room to cruise over traffic.

#2

If you love touch screens, this is the car for you. This is Corning’s Connected Car prototype. Everything is a touch screen including the steering wheel.

#3

Lexus has made a car covered in LEDs. This is the 2017 Lexus LIT IS. It has 41,999 LEDs that cover the sedan in designs and colors. Its lighting can also react to people and sounds around it.

#4

Volkswagen wants to take self-driving cars to the next level. This is Sedric. The concept car has a literal friendly face. It has no pedals or steering wheel. Movement would be controlled by a digital assistant.

#5

This Toyota concept crossover is for Gen Y. Behold the Toyota FT-4X Concept. Toyota thinks millennials need a car for “casualcore” outings. Multiple storage options.

#6

This concept car has airbags on the outside. It’s called the Flesby II. LED lighting gives the car some personality. But the lights do more than make faces. They’re meant to communicate with passengers and pedestrian. The exterior airbags absorb the impact of a collision and are supposed to instantly repair any dents.

#7

This is “Deep Orange 7.” It’s a fully-functional concept. It has a very unique storage system. There is a storage area in the front where you can show off your favorite items. Think outdoor gear, yoga equipment, or gardening tools.

#8

This beautiful car is powered entirely by hydrogen. Riversimple has launched Rasa. It looks like something out of a James Bond movie. It gets 300 miles on one tank of hydrogen. The two-seater has gull-wing doors. Electric motors are hidden in the wheels.

#9

Audi’s tail light concept looks incredible. It’s called “The Swarm.” The tail light is a continuous OLED screen.

How Elon Musk, CEO Of Tesla And SpaceX, Makes And Spends His Money

Elon Musk may be the world’s richest rocket scientist. With a fortune hovering around $20 billion, the 46-year-old CEO of Tesla and SpaceX and co-founder of OpenAI has said he won’t be happy until we’ve escaped Earth and colonized Mars.

A notorious workaholic, Musk doesn’t spend cash on lavish vacations or expensive hobbies. Instead, the entrepreneur spends most of his time at the office or in factories, retreating to one of his four Los Angeles mansions at the end of the day. Watch to find out what we know about how Musk, a father of five, amassed his fortune and how he spends it. Following is a transcript of the video.

He’s been an entrepreneur since an early age. In college, he sold computer parts and would turn his house into a speakeasy on the weekends. After college, he and his brother founded Zip2, their version of an online yellow pages. In 1999, they sold the company and Elon made $22 million. He used that money to co-found X.com, an online banking service. X.com merged with a rival and became PayPal. eBay bought Paypal in 2002 and Musk made $180 million from the deal. He then went on to found SpaceX, Tesla, and Solar City. In 2009, Musk “ran out of cash” after divorcing his first wife. He lived off of loans while trying to keep his companies afloat.

That changed when Tesla IPO’ed in 2010. By 2012, Musk was a billionaire. He famously doesn’t spend much on luxurious items, but he owns $70 million worth of homes in Los Angeles. He bought one of them for $17 million. It features a two-story library, home theater, gym, and wine cellar. Musk paid $920,000 for a submarine car used in the James Bond movie “The Spy Who Loved Me.” He’s also signed Bill Gates and Warren Buffett’s “Giving Pledge,” meaning most of his fortune will be left to charity.
