Released 20th February 2017.

Drum & Bass has always been an interesting phenomenon in Poland. Although not often attributed as being one of its primary bases in Europe, it’s produced some of the most exciting talent to come forward across the scene. And one of these artists is 20 years old 174bpm stalwart Adrian Rybka, who also goes by his pseudonym Satl. Having had regular support from the likes of heavyweight DJs Fabio & Grooverider, Friction, LTJ Bukem, Artifical Intelligence and DJ Marky, he’s become a staple on the European club circuit.

Having already had releases on the likes of Innerground, SGN:LTD, Integral and more, ‘From Time’ sees him move onto the Soul Trader imprint. Alongside collaborator Harland, his first offering ‘Alone’ takes you into sub-terranean levels, moving away from any of the more commercial sounds which have littered drum & bass and instead provides an intimidating soundscape. If this track is anything to go by, neither Satl nor Harland are prepared to wind down their production standard and instead go in all guns blazing, with smashing kick and a sub bass that ricochets from start to finish.

Malaky & Satl – Her

Out 28th March on Soul Trader Records.

Malaky and Satl are back with their latest long-awaited collaboration, the Her EP on Surplus’ Soul Trader Records. Coming this March, the producers bring you not only the title track, but also the original and Silence Groove remix of the huge Dreams Are Gone.

Malaky is fresh from releases on esteemed labels like Celsius and Fokuz, and the DJ and producer is stepping up his game with the music on this EP. His Polish counterpart, Satl, has taken inspiration from the likes of Marky, Calibre and Intelligent Manners to produce high quality beats for Fokuz, Celsius, Innerground and Bassdrive. Together, they bring you the Her EP.

The title track displays all the warmth and dedication you would expect from both artists and label alike. A shimmering, pulsing opening soon moves into a vibrant liquid beat and atmospheric backdrops. Removed vocal samples vie for attention behind the drums, and then the bass rolls in. Emotional and soothing, there are marks of both producers’ sounds here. DJs will be all over this one, it’s perfect for the mix, sitting right on the groove of 2016’s liquid revolution. You’ll want to hear all about Her, courtesy of Malaky and Satl. Also watch out for a Zero T remix coming later in the year!

Command Strange – Watcha Doin’

Buy: http://btprt.dj/21yM4vA

Command Strange returns to Liquid V after the success of last year’s Visions EP. Cementing his status as one of the brightest of the a generation of producers on the scene, CS always keeps things underground whether he’s delivering a dancefloor tear out, or some deeper, funkier productions. Having previously released on Metalheadz, Hospital, goodlooking, Innerground and more we’re excited to be working more and more closely with this talented producer.

The Night Mist EP is soulful, funky and deep, but have no doubt these tracks would light up any dancefloor! Taking the well-established influences that gave birth to the Liquid D&B sound and stamping his own unique flavour on them. This 3 track collection sees his production techniques elevated to a new level, whilst retaining the analogue influences that create that all important vibe!

S.P.Y – Kiss The Sky

Hospital Shop – https://www.hospitalrecords.com/shop/release/spy/nhs219-what-the-future-holds
iTunes – http://itunes.apple.com/gb/preorder/what-future-holds-special/id558853529?uo=4&at=11l9mP

Since releasing his first ever tune on Med School in 2006, S.P.Y has been the name on everyone’s lips. With previous releases on Innerground, Spearhead, Critical and Metalheadz, to name but a few, S.P.Y signed exclusively to Hospital at the start of 2012, bringing in the deeper, darker sounds of the underground and keeping things fresh with his unique, sub-genre spanning music. This year alone he has impressed with the “Love & Hate EP” and vinyl-only release “Future Tense feat. Jo-s / Roll The Dice”. Now he brings us his debut album “What The Future Holds”. Prepare to be blown away.
Unanimously praised across the scene, S.P.Y’s exceptional creativity and astute production skills means he is the go-to name in D+B right now, with support from everyone from Bailey, Doc Scott and Storm through to Sub Focus, London Elektricity and Annie Mac.

Across the thirteen-track selection, we are treated to an array of different styles as S.P.Y blends moody sub-bass driven soundscapes in tracks like “Bass Terror” with an old-skool vintage aesthetic, harking back to the late 90s “golden era” of D+B in moments like “Analogue Dreams”. Soaring vocals are paired with uplifting synth sweeps and rolling breaks in tracks such as “See The Light”, “Hammer In My Heart” and title track “What The Future Holds”, whilst a ballad-like aspect takes over in “Love Hurts”. Things get nasty with the rough, tough, tech-y vibes in “Back Again” and “Infiltrate”, whilst the blissed out “Kiss The Sky” brings the album to a poignant finale.
Featured vocalists include Diane Charlemagne, who was immortalized in “Inner City Life” and lends her powerful soulful tones to “Hammer In My Heart”, and Ian Shaw — one of the UK’s finest jazz vocalists (named Best Jazz Vocalist at the BBC Jazz Awards in 2004 and 2007).

“What The Future Holds” is an incredible, awe-inspiring debut from S.P.Y which will capture the imagination of D+B fans from across the board.
