Now two years old ‘Zeitgeist’ still sounds fresh! Here’s what we said at the time:

Camo & Krooked are back with their new album “Zeitgeist”. Two years on and the follow up to “Cross The Line” truly encapsulates the sound of Camo & Krooked 2.0. Already seeing heavyweight DJ support from across the board, “Zeitgeist” is jam-packed with disco, French house and minimal influences, which are merged together with the signature Camo & Krooked sound to form an awe-inspiring 15-track package. The album also features key collaborations with fellow Hospital star Metrik and Norwegian indie-electronic duo Lemâitre

Kicking things off is the epic “Turn Back The Time” which introduces us into this brave new world of sultry synths, sharp beats and disco-influenced aesthetics which form the backbone of the album. Then we have the familiar sounds of the ever-catchy undulating white noise of “All Night” and dancefloor detonator “Move Around (ft. Ian Shaw)”. Watch out for other gems including “Aurora (ft. Metrik)” with its epic trance-like soundscape, the soulful sounds of “Loving You Is Easy”, the enticing and experimental “Ruhepuls” and collaborative smasher “Dreamcatcher (ft. Lemaitre)” with its fidgety beats and infectiously upbeat vibe.

Expect the unexpected as Camo & Krooked continue to push the boundaries with their impressive opus, “Zeitgeist”. Like all the best albums, “Zeitgeist” makes sense as a whole and should be enjoyed from start to finish.

The next single from Camo & Krooked in the run up to the release of their brand new album ‘Zeitgeist’ is the exceptional dancefloor detonator ‘Move Around’.The track is classic Camo & Krooked 2.0 — at once uplifting, energetic and innovative to the core.

Kicking off with a flurry of piano keys and a shimmying vocal (courtesy of the award winning Ian Shaw), the track is underpinned by a quirky, warping hook which will get inside your head. Accompanying the original tune is a radio edit, instrumental and a remix by French house producer Uppermost.

This single will be available in digital stores on September 9th. Expect to hear a lot more from Camo & Krooked in the coming weeks as the ‘Zeitgeist’ album is set for release September 30th.

Since releasing his first ever tune on Med School in 2006, S.P.Y has been the name on everyone’s lips. With previous releases on Innerground, Spearhead, Critical and Metalheadz, to name but a few, S.P.Y signed exclusively to Hospital at the start of 2012, bringing in the deeper, darker sounds of the underground and keeping things fresh with his unique, sub-genre spanning music. This year alone he has impressed with the “Love & Hate EP” and vinyl-only release “Future Tense feat. Jo-s / Roll The Dice”. Now he brings us his debut album “What The Future Holds”. Prepare to be blown away.
Unanimously praised across the scene, S.P.Y’s exceptional creativity and astute production skills means he is the go-to name in D+B right now, with support from everyone from Bailey, Doc Scott and Storm through to Sub Focus, London Elektricity and Annie Mac.

Across the thirteen-track selection, we are treated to an array of different styles as S.P.Y blends moody sub-bass driven soundscapes in tracks like “Bass Terror” with an old-skool vintage aesthetic, harking back to the late 90s “golden era” of D+B in moments like “Analogue Dreams”. Soaring vocals are paired with uplifting synth sweeps and rolling breaks in tracks such as “See The Light”, “Hammer In My Heart” and title track “What The Future Holds”, whilst a ballad-like aspect takes over in “Love Hurts”. Things get nasty with the rough, tough, tech-y vibes in “Back Again” and “Infiltrate”, whilst the blissed out “Kiss The Sky” brings the album to a poignant finale.
Featured vocalists include Diane Charlemagne, who was immortalized in “Inner City Life” and lends her powerful soulful tones to “Hammer In My Heart”, and Ian Shaw — one of the UK’s finest jazz vocalists (named Best Jazz Vocalist at the BBC Jazz Awards in 2004 and 2007).

“What The Future Holds” is an incredible, awe-inspiring debut from S.P.Y which will capture the imagination of D+B fans from across the board.

S.P.Y – What The Future Holds (feat. Ian Shaw)
