Syrian government forces had full control on the village of Hwaiz on Wednesday after heavy shelling and air raids, pro-government media said.
The village was known as a strategic and rebel stronghold in the edge of the Hama countryside.
Syrian troops expanded their ground offensive on the rebels for nearly two weeks under the cover of Syrian and Russian airstrikes.
The rebels was blamed for firing rockets into Russia’s air base in the nearby coastal province of Latakia.
The capture of more territories by Syrian troops came as part of the latest push by government forces against the rebel-held enclave.
