The 27 year old is the founder of “Histoires crépues”, a media devoted to colonial history, and he considers these monuments “too violent for a large proportion of French citizens”. The death of unarmed black man George Floyd in US police custody has triggered outrage worldwide, and reignited debate over Colonial-era monuments.
