Branagh: As many takes as it takes

Kenneth Branagh says he’ll shoot as many takes as it takes when he’s directing a movie. He most recently directed “Murder on the Orient Express” and starred as the lavishly mustachioed lead character, Hercule Poirot. He says that when he’s only acting, he’s happy to do as many takes as a director may need. (Jan. 10)

Judi Dench, Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz are among the star-studded ensemble cast on the red carpet for the world premiere of ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ in London. Kenneth Branagh, who as well as directing the film also stars as the detective, Hercule Poirot, in the film adaptation of the renowned 1934 novel by Agatha Christie.
