Cape Cod is becoming a hot spot for some unwelcome visitors this summer: Great White Sharks. They’re being lured to the US vacation destination by a resurgent population of seals. After a number of shark incidents in 2018, including one fatal attack, Cape authorities are stepping up their emergency response efforts. Funding from the state is seeing a number of beaches having specially trained life guards, as well as safety kits to help treat traumatic bleeding.
