Grafix finally unveils his new sound to the world on his remarkable ‘Refuge’ EP – his first solo release in almost ten years since departing from his long-term collaborative outfit. Delve into his new found inspiration across four tracks that explore the world of underground dancefloor drum & bass.

The acid-techno inspired ‘Acid Generation’ calls back to the sound of rave counterculture through the late 80s, with a rapid-fire relay of metallic stabs that pack enough punch to surge through any concrete jungle.

Original Grafix fans will relish in the power-chords and big leads of ‘Refuge’, that feature the addictive vocals of Bristol’s Ruth Royall. ‘Photons’ is a welcomed switch-up, bringing in Grafix’s love of house and garage with stabbing percussions and ethereal synths. As ‘Rain Fall Down’ calls out Grafix has his new musical vision clear in sight.

As a duo, Grafix has previously released three albums with Hospital Records that included the huge drum & bass anthems ‘Major Happy’, ‘Forest Fires’, ‘Ultraviolet’, ‘Tension’ and many more. He’s had radio support from the likes of Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, MistaJam, Rene LaVice, as well as club support from the biggest in the game.

He’s previously toured the globe and this summer he continues to take dancefloors by storm with sets at Glastonbury, Liquicity Festival, Hospitality On The Beach, Boardmasters and more.

The three-wheeled vehicle tours the country together with the Bubble Bike, a motorbike with a sparkling wine bar in the sidecar. Stops include weddings, private partiers, and also festivals like Glastonbury.

Bubble Bros started catering in 2015 with 1 van. They now have 5 vans and 1 motorbike which are all road legal.

Their wine comes in barrels from the DOCG region of Italy, which stands for Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin– a quality assurance label for Italian wines.

Hugh Hardie – Emerald City (feat. Pola & Bryson)

Colourspace is out now! https://HospitalRecords.lnk.to/Colourspaceyb

Hugh Hardie’s smooth moving, funk and soul-spirited drum & bass has been making waves since he signed exclusively to leading D+B imprint Hospital Records in 2014. The Cambridge-born turned Bristol-living producer has been a busy man since his popular ‘City Soul’ EP. Now his growing repertoire is only getting bigger with his highly anticipated debut long player ‘Colourspace’ that’s filled with liquid rollers, jazzy riffs, and feel-good flavours.

Staying true to that funk and soul delivery are tracks ‘Love Troubles’ and ‘She Moves’ – featuring up and comers GLXY – with rising drums and full-bodied basslines. Another collaborative effort comes from Shogun Audio signees Pola & Bryson in ‘Emerald City’ with sweetening doubled-up melodies and lush liquid roll-outs.

Diving into deeper D+B spaces, ‘Talk The Talk’ and ‘Closeness’ bring a cosmic energy to the mix. ‘Camera Obscura’ ft Maverick Soul highlights Hugh’s passion for percussions in parallel with ‘Shades Of Blue’ that touches on micro funk movements with clicky drums bringing a more minimalistic nature than Hugh’s regular rhythms.

For several years, Hugh has been making regular appearances across Europe and the UK for the world-renowned events brand Hospitality and is no stranger to lighting up packed dance-floors no matter the venue size. This summer you can catch him drawing from his collection at Glastonbury festival, Secret Garden Party and Sun & Bass, to name a few.
