Gillian Flynn, whose book “Gone Girl” became a must-read in 2012, is bringing her first novel “Sharp Objects” to TV in a miniseries starring Amy Adams. She says there were various starts and stops over the years to adapt the book, but it’s finally right with Adams as the lead. The series premieres July 8 on HBO. (July 6)
