Police sealed off the area close to EU HQ after ‘telephone bomb threat’ in Belgium

Some 40 people were preventively evacuated in #Belgium and part of a street close to #EU headquarters was sealed off after a #BombThreat was sent to a company linked to the EU.

Police spokeswoman Ilse Van de Keere said that a “telephone bomb threat” was made Tuesday morning and it was taken seriously enough to seal off the area and send in sniffer dogs.

She said the threat was made to a consulting office linked to the EU Commission.
