2016 hasn͛t been an ordinary year for UK bass act Delta Heavy. Kicking it off with their debut album, ‘Paradise Lost’, which launched straight into the top 10 dance charts in both the UK and US, it has been nothing shy of ground breaking. Covering over 60 dates internationally on the album tour including a headline slot at The Common – Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, Secret Garden Party, EDC Las Vegas, The Warehouse Project, SW4 and Creamfields plus a string of club and festival shows. The British duo are about to shift things up a gear yet again, seeing the year to close with their first Radio 1 Essential Mix, a fortnightly residency on US national radio station iHeart and 2 brand new club records.’Kill Room’ sees the duo retracing their steps into the darkly epic and menacing sound of Paradise Lost. While their vocal-led previous single White Flag hinted at glittering pop sensibilities, ‘Kill Room’ is brutal reminder of their renowned ability to dismantle dance floors across the lands; an expertly produced slice of cutting edge DnB drawing on influences past and future.

The Prototypes – Hypercube

Beatport Exclusive out now: http://bit.ly/vpr078bp. Full release out 23rd Oct. 2015. Buy on iTunes: http://smarturl.it/vpr078

With their debut LP City Of Gold still resonating in the clubs and smashing up dance floors across the globe, The Prototypes waste no time in unleashing a brand new banger for your speakers: Hypercube.

Having already been made a firm favourite thanks to Friction opening his live Radio 1 Essential Mix at Glastonbury early this year in the UK, Hypercube is full of attitude and weighs heavy on the low end, all wrapped up in a mass of energy big enough to shatter the fourth dimension.

City Of Gold was a tough act to follow with the singles Pale Blue Dot, Don’t Let Me Go and Pop It Off racking up millions of combined views on UKF, huge support from Annie Mac, MistaJam and Friction on Radio 1 & 1Xtra, and heavyweights across the scene such as Knife Party, Andy C, Sub Focus, Matrix & Futurebound, Wilkinson, Zedds Dead, Calyx & Teebee, Ed Rush & Optical, and TC, but Chris Garvey and Nick White aka The Prototypes have done it. Next level beats, first class production.

METRIK – Distant Shores – Official Video

Hospital Shop – https://www.hospitalrecords.com/shop/release/metrik/nhs232-metrik
iTunes – https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/metrik-ep/id618201294?app=itunes

Recent signing Metrik crashes onto the Hospital release schedule with this immense self-titled EP. Hot on the heels of his Essential Mix for BBC Radio One, Metrik has forged a reputation for producing top-notch peak time tunes with catchy hooks and uplifting vibes a-plenty.

Kicking off with “Break Of Dawn”, Metrik takes no prisoners as the tune drops with vocals from Dynamite MC into a cacophony of souped up synth work with plenty of fun factor. This is an explosive dancefloor banger that is guaranteed to cause a ruckus. Next is “Out Of The Fire” with its undulating melodies and euphoric, rippling synths, which will have hands in the air across the world.

Hot on the heels of this comes sci-fi inspired “Solar” with its bleepy, spaced out intro, distorted builds and pounding drums. Last but by no means least Metrik takes us on a voyage of discovery to the incredible “Distant Shores” which brings the EP to a resounding close with its epic soundscapes, progressive structure and blissed out instrumentation. “Distant Shores” is a unique way to round off a solid statement of intent from a young producer, marking his ascension to the prime time.

The “Metrik” EP showcases his musically expansive, techy sound across four incredible tracks, which will impress, move and energize their audience in equal measure.
