Telomic – Control

Our next London event – 27th September: http://bit.ly/SNB-RA // attend on Facebook: http://bit.ly/SNB-FB

Buy ‘Control’ – http://bit.ly/2xCkrJz

After impressing with his recent remix of ‘White Lies’ and original cut ‘Speculate’, established experimental EDM producer Elliot Berger, also known by his Drum & Bass alias ‘Telomic’, is once again bringing deep liquid love to Terra Firma, this time with a fluid two-track EP.

On the flip, Telomic proves he is more than just the master of warm and cosy DnB, with a stone cold and icy track entitled ‘Control’. The combination of kick and bass packs a punch, and the additional padded textures leave a sense of mystery lingering in the atmosphere. This one is for the heads!

Interview with Elsa Esmeralda

Urbandawn – Cloudless is OUT NOW! Buy Here: https://HospitalRecords.lnk.to/cloudl

This year Hospital Records announced an unexpected addition to their roster, Brazilian-born Urbandawn.

Previously unknown in the spheres of drum & bass yet has shone through with his melodic and soulful drum & bass that’s polished to perfection. Following his well-received debut single “Neon Nights” is the charming “Cloudless” EP – four tracks encompassing every element of Urbandawn from his sweet-natured, warming tones to high-energy dance-floor impacts.

Title-track “Cloudless’ is the result of an unexpected session in London Elektricity’s south-east London home-studio. Expect an instantly inviting vocal-lead arrangement performed by “Just One Second” singer Elsa Esmeralda who compliments the instrumental qualities with a beautiful, harmonic performance.

Adding another string to his bow is an unorthodox title for an unorthodox track. Screaming for the dance is Urbandawn’s ‘Pavlov’s Dog’ that uses unconventional arrangements and unusual sounds in an effort to make noise against the rising glamorization and formulaic predictability of “EDM culture”. Jazz inspired piano chords lead the way over fierce beats in “Under Your Sheets” followed by a call back to the summer months with “Vona”.

Drumsound & Bassline Smith – The Truth

Beatport: http://bit.ly/TheTruthOutLawRenegade
iTunes: https://t.co/1uOobhNmNI

When Technique Recordings bosses Drumsound & Bassline Smith come with a fresh release, they’ve got some big expectations to fulfil. True heads will know that their roots were firmly planted back in the old skool of nineties rave culture. And, this millennium, they’ve built and sustained a reputation as architects of the big room style that’s seen drum and bass explode in popularity. So, how are they going to live up to that this time?

Well, “The Truth” promises great things from the outset. A panoramic landscape is laid out before us, with dunes of unforgiving percussive sounds overcast by clouds of minor key tonalities and dark-child dialogue. It’s the quiet before the riot, punctured by an alarm call signal flare which sparks things into life. Then the drop delivers a straight-up punch-up between bass and treble, as call and response patterns merge and collide to create an unrelenting groove. This is the EDM paradigm delivered with a junglist mentality and rarely-seen layers of subtlety to satisfy the listener as well as the raver.

Place 2B & Paimon – Heat (Mefjus Remix)

I am hoping my channel has introduced you guys to Place 2B & Paimon quite enough already, but if this is your first time on a song that these two guys are involved in, they are two very masterful Russian neurofunk producers that have been reigning over the scene sat atop the thrones of the most prestigious labels for many, many years now. And, of course, world-renowned Mefjus. That is a name that should certainly be household now, but what happens when these three producers are all involved in the same song? This is one of the most fire remixes in my entire collection (no pun intended), that’s what. Catch this one on the “Dark Defender” LP (2013), released by Citrus.

https://soundcloud.com/place2b

Under the name Teddy Killerz, Place 2B/Paimon and third member Garud are now producing very intelligent EDM stuff spanning pretty much the whole genre-sphere (don’t worry, this includes neurofunk too still). Check that project out right here:

Weapons Grade is a channel for uploading only the most forward thinking and stomping underground neurofunk. I will try my best to promote only the truly under-appreciated tunes that go lesser heard. Uploads will probably be daily, or possibly even more frequently. Every track featured here has been purchased from the respective label, and is in 320 kbps (MP3) quality before upload. All artwork in every video is from http://www.wallhaven.cc/ unless otherwise stated! I won’t feature any track on this channel that isn’t advanced neurofunk and I will never monetize a video. This channel is purely for your entertainment and discovery, and for my hobby. I hope you guys enjoy thoroughly!

If there is a problem with any of the tracks uploaded, please consult with me by my email (found on my channel under “For business enquiries”). I will take necessary measures to make content owners satisfied with the state of their track, whether it be on the channel or not. If you wish to submit a track for possible upload, please send it to me via the same email.

Teddy Killerz – Wrong Message

Teddy Killerz is a Russian EDM trio made up of Place 2b, Paimon and Garud. The name “Teddy Killerz” has been gaining notoriety very fast ever since early 2013, when they began signing non-DnB bangers onto Skrillex’s label OWSLA. While the trio’s skill is all over the map, the neurofunk stuff they used to put out without Garud (under the name Place 2b & Paimon) is still coming out pretty consistently actually, and on all sorts of the genres largest labels. “Wrong Message” though, is just a 2013 free SoundCloud download that caught my attention when I heard the intro and got the shivers like I just finished taking a righteous leak.

Xilent & Susiah – Fallen

Even before Xilent rose to fame in the world of pretty much every single mainstream EDM genre out there, his neurofunk music definitely had a bit of a “poppier” or happier influence to it. We call this sub-genre “Ultrafunk”. Susiah nailed the vocals on this one too. You can catch this pretty old release on Ammunition under the name “Lift & Fall” EP (2010).

L 33 – Teknology

Bulgarian L 33 WAS a newcomer neurofunk producer about a year or two ago, but now he is just an all-out fully established and top tier artist in the EDM world. With releases on Eatbrain and Lifted (to only name a few), I figured it was appropriate to put something a little older and more underground up on the channel. That being said, I went back to 2013 when Rise Audio released the fantastic “RA008” compilation EP.

Posij – Close Call

Netherlands based EDM superstar of multiple genres is making his debut on my channel with by far one of the sickest tracks I have heard in years. I was surprised to see that nobody had uploaded the full version of this one already. If you somehow don’t know who Posij is, he is a producer of many genres and he focusses the least on Neurofunk sadly. When he does dabble in the 170 BPM range, he manages to get his name on imprints like Critical, Division and Shogun. “Close Call” is from the “28 Hz” EP (2013) on Division.

Covert – Exhaust

A good amount of you guys who are here from the subscriber feed or from Reddit / Facebook might not have heard of Covert yet. Covert is a very young EDM talent based in New York. He gained his first bit of deserved recognition in 2014 when one of his Neurofunk tracks was reposted and even uploaded on the official DnB SoundCloud account, hosted by The EDM Network. Eventually, said track “Dépêchez-Vous” attracted the likes of Neurofunkgrid, and from that point – he has been a Neuro producer that I have had my eyes on sharply. This kid has got some serious technical skill, and he knows how to make the human body move with his drums. This is a track he released for free on his SoundCloud before his rise to “fame” (2014).

Paimon – Melancholy

When it comes to modern Neurofunk (2010-present), I like to think back to the days when tunes were purely dark and gross in nature, with nothing gleeful to offer. That’s the stuff that hits the spot for me and many others as well. Nowadays, we are seeing more and more Ultrafunk releases and formerly pure Neuro and “tech” producers are beginning to release more and more uplifting music while staying in the same genre boundary. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this, of course – I’ve featured a lot of tracks like that on this channel already, but there was a point in history where the status quo for the top producers was sheer black music. When Ammunition Recordings and Neurofunkgrid were the kings of the universe. This is a gem straight out of that time period, which lasted for quite a while, to be fair. It also happens to be from Paimon – one half of the almost infinitely talented duo Place 2B & Paimon and one third of the now world-renowned EDM trio and OWSLA superstars, Teddy Killerz. From the “Valentina” EP (2010) on Ammunition.

Place 2B – Deeper Underground

Before Place 2B, Paimon and Garud came together to form the now internationally renowned EDM group “Teddy Killerz”, it was just Place 2B & Paimon on their own. They hand crafted some of the most influential and next level Neurofunk in the scene years back, and now they proceed to do so – but with other genres in mind. In between amazing releases on some of the scenes most cherished labels, the two would sometimes dabble in solo releases. This track, from the “In The End” EP (2012) on Trust In Music, is proof that the prodigies can do just fine on their own.

As I mentioned, Place 2B is now a member of multi-genre trio called Teddy Killerz. You can check them out here:

Next level heaviness: Audio is now an official member of the Ram Records family. And he’s entered the creative fray with two of the most brutal, ballistic bangers you’ll play all year.

A decorated sound scientist for well over 10 years, what Audio doesn’t know about explosive production dynamics truly isn’t worth knowing. His previous outings — four albums and an anthem so unanimously massive it knocked EDM superstar Avicii off the top spot on Beatport — speak volumes. Literally… Each and every Audio production stops the very best D&B producers in their tracks, making them rethink their game. Naturally his first full Ram debut is no exception.

‘Heads Up’ is a king size tear-out session of Godzilla proportions. Opening with subtle themes of dark cinematic drama, he pitches us into a drop that’s so physical and visceral it’s outrageous. Sneering and tearing with raw aggression, you could reload this 20 times over and your crowd will lap it up every single time. Just when you thought Audio couldn’t possibly raise the bar higher…

And that bar stays high on ‘Stampede’. Referencing the classical sounds that made drum & bass the distinctive genre it’s become, a series of icy pad, searing basses and tightly woven percussion build into a hook made of unadulterated savagery and concentrated destruction. Nodding deftly at every muscular sub-genre D&B has spawned — from tech to neuro to jump-up — Audio has whittled such a sharp sonic stick the police are considering filing it as a dangerous weapon.

Audio and Ram Records: A collaborative union of forces that’s nothing short of a recipe for pure drum & bass devastation. And this is just the beginning!

DJ Support:

Sub Focus, Andy C, Friction, Crissy Criss, Black Sun Empire, DC Breaks, Mind Vortex, Hamilton, Delta Heavy, Frankee.

“Good Track” – Sub Focus

“Sick!” – Crissy Criss

“One of our favourite producers strikes again!” — Black Sun Empire

Next level heaviness: Audio is now an official member of the Ram Records family. And he’s entered the creative fray with two of the most brutal, ballistic bangers you’ll play all year.
