Your Eyes is released 4th December 2017

Four Corners Music is a brand new drum & bass label headed up by DJ Melinki. The label is inspired by his Four Corners concept mix which was released exclusively on Drum & Bass Arena earlier this year. The concept of the mix was to bring all four corners of the drum & bass scene together, a concept he intends to continue with the label as well as showcasing brand new talent from within the scene who aren’t getting the recognition they deserve.

The four corners represent liquid, rollers, jump up & tech and for 4C001 we have an extremely high quality liquid release from ALB to kick things off. ALB has been hard at work crafting some beautiful music of late, with releases on Formation Records, Soul Trader Records & Soul Deep to name a few. First of the tracks ‘Your Eyes’ is an exquisite take at one of the liquid corner of drum & bass, with lush pads, deep bass and crystal clear production. The flip, ‘Jerry’s Trip’, continues the trend of high quality liquid, rolling out delightfully to complete the release and set the tone for Melinki’s exciting new label.

An infamously quick-fire dj, as well as one of the most hotly tipped producers to date, Frankee is returning yet again with a single to further solidify his position.

Whether it’s from a set played on the notorious Ibiza waterfront, or amongst a packed out, dimly lit stage in super club Fabric, you’ll instantly recognise these refined cuts premiered over the last six months. Detonating a hard lined crowd at Drum & Bass Arena’s Easter weekend, Power and Downtown are of two totally different flavours, yet still pull raw energy and emotion from dancefloors globally.

Featuring the vocal talents of Simon Franks, ‘Downtown’ demonstrates an ability to tap into a hugely diverse range of capacities. Fading between carefully textured breaks, as well as a cleverly distorted bass, it spans a hugely intricate composition. Fluctuating note patterns perfectly underpin slowly elevated synths; cutting open and laying bear the producer’s depth. Working his more emotive soundscape ‘Downtown’ epitomises Frankee’s versatility and his multidimensional approach to music making.

On the flipside, a much darker standard is set. Winding up before clanking into a maze of snapping hi-hats, reverberating bass and barrages of driving drum loops ‘Power’ demonstrates the harder style of his production, as seen in previous tracks like ‘Snarl’ and ‘Excalibur’. Brooding, gritty and a perfect 4am grinder, the delivery of this next single presents two opposing tracks that help to exemplify Frankee’s vast discography.

L 33 – Melt [Addictive Behaviour]

Addictive Behaviour have always been about bringing through fresh new music, no matter who it’s from, and have been the launching pad for many an amazing tune. Melt and Let Loose are no different, with both cuts ready to cement both label and artist in people’s minds.

The amazing L 33 returns for Addictive Behaviour, with his latest release, Melt/Let Loose

MELT is a slowly building masterpiece, where electronic themes are established early. An interesting spoken sample bleeds into the main section, were haunting flutes are inserted over the top of some rich pads and ticking drum effects. The bassline is not forgotten, and once an energetic break comes along, the low end rises up in the mix, making the total package something totally unique and absurdly addictive. L 33 really can do it all, producing a track the like of which you’ve definitely not heard yet.

LET LOOSE also glides into view, but soon takes a different path, with stronger kicks and a more straightforward approach. The engineering is the equal of Melt, with finely tooled drums and more humming, marauding bass pressure. A vocal snatch reveals itself, before L 33 pours things back in, making for a rough, rising tune which is going to be an absolute killer in the clubs. You’ll not be able
to resist moving and grooving to this one, so get ready for Let Loose.

Melt / Let Loose by L 33 is available exclusively on Beatport from the 21st July and worldwide on the 04th August.
