Inja x Pete Cannon – Intro

Buy/Stream: https://Inja.lnk.to/BlankPagesyb

Always seen with a smile on his face; Inja the poet, lyricist, storyteller and unparalleled master of ceremonies presents his debut album on Hospital Records. His first drum & bass focussed long-player ‘Blank Pages’ flexes his lyrical style with heartfelt sentiment, roughneck flows and quick-fire wordsmith wizardry. All partnered with heavyweight productions from Pete Cannon, Nu:Tone, Logistics, Serum, Whiney and Anile.

Inja’s back with partner-in-crime Pete Cannon on ‘War Games’. A funky bassline lays the foundations for this fear-fighting tale. As the breaks roll out Inja’s militant and deep rhetoric puts this track on a new level, with signature percussive flair from the sought after hip-hop beatmaker.

Inja’s spoken-word piece for Amnesty International ‘She Just Wanna Dance’ was a viral online hit in 2017. It’s now been given a turbo-charged re-work by Med School young-gun Whiney. Inja’s poignant commentary on the prolific problem of harassment in club culture sits atop a grimey half-time stepper that switches up into a lethal upfront roller.

Inja proves he can ‘juk’ any riddim in ‘Samurai’. Serum’s steppy beat and woofing bassline balances Inja’s story of the samurai; slicing through the tune like the lyrical sensei he is.

“Even with a white page and black ink, you can spell out more colour than the eye can see.” – Inja

Logistics – As Sure As Sunrise (feat. Hugh Hardie) [OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO]

Buy “Polyphony” from iTunes: http://hospi.tl/polyphony44?app=itunes or the Hospital Shop: http://hospi.tl/polyphony43

Big summer vibes in the new Logistics video for “As Sure As Sunrise” featuring Hugh Hardie.

His first release since 2012’s ‘Fear Not’, the man behind some of d+b’s biggest anthems returns with his brand new long player. Having spent the last two years collaborating with big brother Dan Nu:Tone on the Nu:Logic project, Logistics takes solo control of the studio set up once more to unleash his latest monsters.

A return to the classic Hospital sound which Logistics has helped shape; uplifting piano chords, euphoric basslines and sublime vocal chops abound, alongside acoustic guitars and luscious strings. Collaborators on this project include new talents Hugh Hardie and Maduk, veteran producer Sonic, vocalists Will Robert and Lifford, and of course brother Dan Nu:Tone.

An album of organic, dnb soul, as Hospital hits its 18th year in business Logistics brings us a reminder of his well renowned talent with an added sense of maturity in his production.

This video was highly commended in our Sick Video Competition we ran in the run up to the launch of Sick Music 3 in November 2012.

The Brief:
“We want you to show us your skills and make us a video for one of the SICK MUSIC 3 tracks. In order to keep the theme of the SICK MUSIC 3 artwork we want the theme of the videos to include the coloursblack, white and red. You can interpret this how you like – The video doesn’t have to be shot in black & white, or stick to this strict colour palette, consider it a starting point for your creativity. Live action, stop motion animation, or computer generated wizardry – we’re open to all ideas – we just want to see the most creative visual content that grabs our imaginations and stimulates our eyes as much as SICK MUSIC stimulates our ears!”

Netsky – Love Has Gone- Taken from the new album “2”
Directed and Produced by Kash Black (http://www.kashblack.com)
DOP: Tom Swindell
Filmed on location in Barcelona, Spain
(c) Hospital Records 2012

Netsky “2” Released Worldwide – 25.06.2012

Netsky — “2” takes the 23 year old’s signature sound and brings in live influences with elements of electro-house and dubstep alongside the euphoric, hands-in-the-air D+B he has become known for.
Across the 14-track selection there are a number of featured vocalists, from names we know and love such as Dynamite MC and Diane Charlemagne to international talents like million selling Belgian soul/funk singer/songwriter Selah Sue, The Times’ “female artist to watch”, Bridgette Amofah and US rapper Jimmy Jams.

Kicking off with a storming intro in “Love Has Gone” the album progresses through future anthems like “The Whistle Song” and “Wanna Die For You”. Previously released singles “Give & Take” and “Come Alive” are all live band influences and catchy vocal hooks, whilst old skool piano chiming “Get Away From Here” is classic Netsky with a twist, with lush vocals courtesy of Selah Sue. Elsewhere, “911” injects a bit of robo-electro-house and then there’s the streetwise patter of hip-hop charged drama in “Squad Up”. “When Darkness Falls” is late night D+B soul lushness, whilst “Detonate” is an incendiary heavy hitter and final track “Drawing Straws” provides a classy outro.

Challenging the “difficult second album” concept with a genre-spanning panorama of uplifting melodies and exciting new tunes, Netsky — “2” reaffirms once more the young producer truly is one of Belgium’s premium exports.

The Qemists – Hurt Less (Official Video)

The second single taken from the forthcoming second album from The Qemists ‘Spirit In The System’ released 7 July (Japan) / 16 August (EUR) / 24 August (N.America).

The Qemists website: http://www.theqemists.com

‘Hurt Less’ and is about having two sides to your personality. There is a light side and a dark side that can be exaggerated when we drink too much, party too much or allow our fun and relaxation to turn into regret and paranoia. This video is based on the idea that we keep this little monster locked up inside us and given the right circumstances it breaks free. I tried to think of the most innoccent person I could, a young girl, and what happens when other people’s fun brings out the dark side in her. There are references to Let The Right One In – I loved the idea of these relatively innocent looking actors could do angry things.

The girl was Ola Krzemieniecka she’s a 16 year Polish Twae Kwon Do champion. Her father is a famous Polish stunt coordinator who helped us out with the fight sequence at the end. We shot the whole film in an estate in Praga on the East Side of Warsaw, Poland. It actually is quite a rough part of Warsaw and the crew were quite nervous about us filming there. They definitely wanted us to finish before it got dark…
