157 newborn turtles swim to Costa Rica ocean | AFP

Costa Rica’s Playa Hermosa-Punta Mala Wildlife Refuge releases 157 new-born Ridley sea turtles into the sea after they were born on one of the country’s protected turtle nesting sites. The wildlife refuge cares for the eggs that are spawn on the beach, protecting them from poachers eager for their supposed aphrodisiac qualities and by birds and dogs that dig them up on the beach, before releasing them back into the wild.

High stakes: Motor bike racers start throwing punches following the crash

A fight broke out between two motor bike racers after an on-track collision during Costa Rica’s Championship.

Moments before the crash, one rider even ended up riding as a pillion passenger on the other’s bike, after which Jorge Martinez and Marion Calvo started throwing punches at each other.

The International Motorcycling Federation has banned them from racing for two years.
