Climate protesters disrupt London public transport

Climate protesters from the ‘Extinction Rebellion’ movement disrupt service on London’s Docklands Light Railway (DLR), with two clambering on the roof of a train at Canary Wharf station and one attaching himself to a carriage with superglue. Some 300 protesters have been arrested so far in three days of demonstrations.

UK police arrested three protesters from the environmentalist group ‘Extinction Rebellion’ after they glued themselves to a Docklands Light Railway (DLR) train at London’s Canary Wharf station, on Wednesday.
Police deployed a specialist unit with climbing equipment and superglue removal compound to free the activists ahead of their arrest. A man was removed from the windows, and two other activists were detached from the roof of the train.
