Thousands Remain Evacuated in Calif. Wildfires

(1 Aug 2018) Fire officials in California say that more than 32,000 residents remain evacuated due to the state’s various wildfires. The huge Redding area blaze has displaced 38,000 from their homes and killed six people. (Aug. 1)

Calif. Sheriff Says 6th Person Has Died in Fire

(29 Jul 2018) A California sheriff says a sixth person has died in a raging wildfire that has destroyed more than 500 buildings. Shasta County Sheriff Tom Bosenko said Sunday that the remains were found within the boundary of the Carr Fire near Redding. (July 29)
