Unglued – Born In ’94 (feat. MC Conrad) [Official Music Video]

Buy or stream Unglued ‘Born In ’94 (feat. MC Conrad) here:
https://Unglued.lnk.to/BornIn94yb

It all began with his uncle’s donated crates of early jungle records, now Hospital’s infamous young-gun Unglued serves up his own instalment of dancefloor warfare. ‘Born In ‘94’ is his homage to the golden era and is certain to pack in a crowd with its serious sub-bass and summer festival feel, topped with the legendary vocals of MC Conrad from a classic ‘93 tape pack.

It’s matched up with B-side ‘Malware’, a collaboration with Neosignal head-honcho Phace, born out of Unglued’s visit to Hamburg. A swarm of industrial synths meet a gritty bassline to tunnel a path of tear-out techy D+B savagery.

Having amassed huge support from his earlier productions including his monumental remix of High Contrast’s ‘If We Ever’, Unglued continues to go strength to strength with back to back bookings every weekend across the globe. This summer you can catch him at Glastonbury, NASS, Hospitality On Beach 2019, Nozstock, Rampage, Let It Roll, Boomtown and Hospitality In The Park 2019.

Available on a black and yellow marbled 12” vinyl, digital and streaming platforms.

Melysma – ‘Work It Out’

Melysma
‘Meditate / Work It Out’

Melysma, the latest addition to Program’s impressive roster, is bursting back onto the scene with all the skill and veracity of a recently nurtured newcomer. Born and based in London, the DJ and producer has an impressive back catalogue of tracks. It’s no surprise that Program had no doubts in adding him to their release schedule and he’s been hard at work in the studio, perfecting this pair of brand new, rip-roaring tunes.

Both tracks ‘Meditate’ and ‘Work it Out’ centre around uplifting, rolling melodies whilst powerful vocals pierce through the mix of A-side ‘Meditate’. The name of this tune certainly does it justice, since you can so easily lose yourself in its serenity. Effortlessly, Melysma gradually adds to the soundscape, until it promises a move towards the heavier elements that make up the main body of the composition. A sudden descent plunges you into a complex layering of crisp percussion, while the smooth central break offers up more calming, mystical synths and ensures that the second drop packs an even greater punch.

‘Work It Out’, the single’s second musical masterpiece, has been produced with yet more unfaltering technical precision. It certainly makes a statement on impact, with warming, old-school synths that carry the track into a different realm of sound. The energy builds with each burst of vocal splendor, until the full-throttled, buzzing bass takes hold and transports you to the darkest corners of the drum & bass world.

‘Meditate’ and ‘Work it Out’ are a perfect showcase of this up-and-coming star’s immense aptitude. The release is likely to be the start of many great things to come… So once again, it’s time to get with the Program.

Seibel – Overclocking

Follow Skankandbass on Spotify and listen to its playlists: http://bit.ly/SNBSpotify

Released 24th April.

For nearly two decades, Seibel has been pushing his love for drum & bass throughout both his dj sets and each meticulous production he’s released onto a widespread audience. Born in St. Petersburg, the cultural hub of Russia’s longstanding love affair with drum & bass, he’s risen from the cities smallest clubs to open air concerts in some of its most withstanding musical venues. And Russia is well known for its stellar output of drum & bass, with Seibel proving he’s yet another producer who proves they’re still paving ways for the genre globally.

Already immersed in dance music from a young age, his inspirations span across a wide range of musical influences. And since 2012, he’s also drawn his signature style from variety of cultures, now residing in Cologne and playing behind the decks at venues throughout Germany. With an educated ear he’s taken every experience and moulded them into the expert craftsmanship which he demonstrates for his next single on Druid Records. The Essex based label has always focused on the newest and hardest hitting sounds drum & bass has to offer, with neurofunk being a particular passion. Siebel fits at home amongst its darker side, stretching his production finesse against the labels rougher edges.

Supported on the seminal Noisia radio podcast, ‘Overclocking’ and ‘Level Up’ help to centralise Seibel’s sound. Bringing forward the speedily clattering beats and growling bass which has made him so infamous, ‘Overclocking’ welcomes you to a soundscape which twists and winds down minimalist rhythms curving their way around your aural senses. Bit by bit the track creeps up on you, filling out the mix and presenting a record which builds cleverly without apologies.
