
Demonstrators in Karachi burned effigies of the Indian prime minister, calling him a ‘terrorist’ during a protest against India’s downgrade of Kashmir’s special status.
The demonstration, which is into its fifth day, involved protesters burning cardboard cutouts of PM Modi, his Home Minister Amit Shah and Indian Army Chief Bipin Rawat. The protesters also criticised the UN for inaction in the conflict between India and Pakistan over Kashmir.
