Basketball: Australia proving fertile talent pool for US

If you ask Australian teens who their favourite basketball player is, US superstars like LeBron James or Kevin Durant are likely responses, with the mere mention of the NBA creating a buzz. But it is local names like Ben Simmons, Patty Mills , Dante Exum and South Sudanese refugee Thon Maker who have swelled Aussie numbers in the world’s top league and heightened the hopes of young Australians as they compete with hopefuls from Europe and elsewhere for a career in the sports most lucrative league.

Dauntless – Interceptor

Dispatch welcomes an exceptionally talented producer from down under; Sydney based Dauntless, debuting on Dispatch LTD with the ‘No Escape EP’. With outings on Noisia’s Invisible and Klute’s Commercial Suicide in a few short months, the Aussie has very quickly emerged and established himself on the scene, with a penchant for stone cold beats and gnarly low end synthesis.

Comprised of four tracks (two solo, two with Sach in collab), Dauntless pays homage to the early 2000s tech sound, with a refreshed delivery primed for the current day; with tightly constructed drums and a graceful control over anarchic frequencies.

Network – Cut To The Chase

In 2013, a four-member Neurofunk super group was formed, made up of four incredible Perth DnB DJs / producers. After only a few (huge) releases, the group collapsed and unfortunately no longer exists. While active however, essentially every tune in their rather small catalogue of releases was a serious thrasher. They were signed to Close2Death for their first ever release as a team and eventually we would see releases from the Aussie guys on Forbidden Society Recordings, Nocid Business, YSF and more. This particular track is from their debut single on Close2Death called “Yuri / Cut To The Chase” (2013) and is definitely one of my personal favourites, proving that Network never had “rough beginnings”.

Weapons Grade is a channel for uploading only the most forward thinking and stomping underground Neurofunk. I will try my best to promote only the truly under-appreciated tunes that go lesser heard. Uploads will probably be daily, or possibly even more frequently. Every track featured here has been purchased from the respective label, and is in 320 kbps (MP3) quality before upload. All artwork in every video is from unless otherwise stated! I won’t feature any track on this channel that isn’t advanced Neurofunk and I will never monetize a video. This channel is purely for your entertainment and discovery, and for my hobby. I hope you guys enjoy thoroughly!

If there is a problem with any of the tracks uploaded, please consult at me at my email (found on my channel under “For business enquiries”). I will take necessary measures to make content owners satisfied with the state of their track, whether it be on the channel or not. If you wish to submit a track for possible upload, please send it to me via the same email.
