Sound In Noise – ‘Cowards’

Sound In Noise – ‘Shapes Pt.1’
__

So far 2019 has seen RAM come out of the blocks with some amazing music and adding to that is the return of Sound In Noise. Delivering the first in a series of releases culminating into an album, Sound In Noise presents ‘Shapes Pt.1’.

From the dark, rattling march of ‘Cowards,’ (a track subject to three rewinds from Andy C at XOYO), with its echoes of his remix of Fresh’s ‘The Gatekeeper’, to the disco funk vibes of ‘Deep Inside’ and the dramatic ‘One By One’ featuring Marianna Ray, ‘Shapes Pt.1’ highlights Sound In Noise’s ability to turn his hand to any style in the drum & bass spectrum with spectacular ease.

An appetite wetter for more forthcoming music; be sure to keep your ears open for what else Sound In Noise has in store – ‘Shapes Pt.1’ is just the start.

Surveillance Footage Shows Fire Engulfing Cabin

Last week, a Colorado wildfire burned down more than 100 homes. Andy and Robyn Kuehler watched the roaring flames destroy their cabin as they monitored the cabin’s surveillance video from their primary home in Nebraska. (July 3)

This Artist Built A Career Out Of Leaving Positive Notes To Strangers Around London

Artist Andy Leek leaves notes to strangers around London to brighten up their day.

He started the project 3 years ago after a career in advertising and after recovering from a mental health problem.

“I had a very long commute and I realised that was probably my only chance to make art,” he told Business Insider. “So I started off trying to make a difference for one person every day by leaving cards with positive notes to strangers on them in copies of the Metro and leaving them on seats for random people to find.”

At the bottom of each note, Andy signs off with his Instagram handle. He gained such a big following that 9 months later making notes became his full-time job.

Andy is now also working with brands and other companies, but he wants to keep the positive intentions of his original project.

Andy Skopes – Let Go

Our next London event – 27th September: http://bit.ly/SNB-RA // attend on Facebook: http://bit.ly/SNB-FB

‘Let Go’ is released 1st September 2017

The first METHXX release of the year comes from Andy Skopes with his exquisite ‘Speechless EP’. We’re taken on a journey through Andy’s musical brain, with diversions into the rugged breaks of ‘Séance’ and the aural paradise that is ‘Heroin Wash’, which are just two of four perfectly crafted pieces of drum and bass on offer. The atmosphere and energy across the EP is weighted perfectly, whilst every track almost sounds effortless in the way it’s been put together, something that Andy has mastered and can now proudly show off.

Built for the rave and forthcoming on Ram Records, Andy C’s ‘What Bass’ has been roadtested during his 13 week XOYO residency, and was given its first radio play on his Beats 1 show on Friday night. This dancefloor-ready cut is the first new music from Andy C since 2016’s ‘New Era’, and will precede a new single for Atlantic Records later this year.

With over 40 awards to date, Andy C’s career has been nothing short of a phenomenon. He’s sold-out Alexandra Palace and Brixton Academy with his own solo shows, played headline slots at the world’s greatest festivals including Creamfields, Glastonbury, EDC, and SW4, and released a string of phenomenal crossover anthems like ‘Heartbeat Loud’ and club tracks like ‘New Era’. He’s also the go-to remixer for the likes of Major Lazer, Sigala, London Grammar and beyond, and the d&b figure recently chosen to host the first drum & bass radio show on Apple Music’s Beats 1, broadcast to over 100 countries.

As the owner and figurehead for Ram Records, which celebrates 25 years in 2017, Andy’s nurtured and developed huge headline artists such as Chase & Status, Wilkinson and Sub Focus, turning it into one of the world’s most respected independent operations across recordings and now festivals like EDC Las Vegas, Creamfields, and SW4 where Ram have hosted their own arenas and stages.

Andy’s main signature motif as a DJ is that he’s guaranteed to be packing tracks that no other DJ has. Hunting, digging, searching and signing: he is constantly immersed in new music. Not only does this ensure a wholly unique experience when you see him live, but it also gives Ram Records a front row seat when it comes to spotting new artists… As the likes of Loadstar, Wilkinson, Calyx & TeeBee, Frankee, Delta Heavy, Culture Shock, DC Breaks, Hamilton, Mind Vortex, Chords and many more can happily confirm.

On 31 March, Andy will complete his 13 week residency run at XOYO. The first d&b artist chosen by the renowned London club, tickets for his entire residency sold out far in advance. The Friday night run has allowed Andy to nurture a weekly crowd on a par with his legendary sets at The End, bringing together older heads and d&b’s new converts together under one roof.

Summer 2017 festival dates include Lovebox, Let it Roll festival, Snowbombing, Lost & Found, Wild Life, Parklife, Dour Festival, Nu Forms, Boardmasters, Dreambeach, Innovation in the Sun, Tomorrowland, Reading Festival, Leeds Festival, Bestival, Middlelands and many more to be announced.
