This 28-Year-Old Supercross Racer Has 20 Minutes To Make $1 Million

At the Monster Energy Supercross World Finals in Las Vegas, a French racing star marred by controversy has 20 minutes to win a championship bonus worth more than $1 million.

28-year-old Marvin Musquin arrived in Las Vegas for the Supercross World Finals. After two consecutive wins, Musquin is just a few points behind Jason Anderson in the season standings. The racer with the most points at the end of the final race wins the championship, along with a bonus from his team sponsor worth more than $1 million.

After a consistent season-long effort, all Anderson needs to do is finish in the top ten. However, thanks to his recent surge in points, a win by Musquin would push him to the top of the leaderboard, and the championship would be his.

Wes Anderson discusses new animated film at Berlin film festival

Acclaimed US director Wes Anderson’s new animated feature “Isle of Dogs” will kick off the Berlin film festival. “Isle of Dogs”, made in the stop-motion style of Anderson’s much-loved “Fantastic Mr Fox” from 2009, is set in a fictional Japanese city in which the autocratic mayor banishes all the hounds to an island garbage dump after an outbreak of canine flu.

The interpreters who worked alongside American and NATO forces in Afghanistan are among our bravest and most loyal allies. They played an essential role in sourcing intelligence and educating Western troops about the local culture. Now they’re in danger of being abandoned.

In part 5, VICE News correspondent Ben Anderson goes to Washington, DC to speak with US senators and representatives working to improve the lot of Afghan interpreters. Although this is a bipartisan effort that would seem to have broad-based support in the capital, many interpreters are still not getting the visas they need and were promised, and are forced to remain in Afghanistan fearing for their safety.

Anderson then speaks to one of these interpreters. Still in Afghanistan and unable to leave, he fears he will soon be killed after learning that many of the Taliban members he helped Americans arrest and imprison have now been released.
