A Russian warship fires cruise missiles at ISIS targets

The Russian frigate Admiral Essen fired Kalibr cruise missiles at Islamic State targets near the Syrian city of Deir al-Zor on Tuesday to help a Syrian army offensive in the area, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

RAW: Russian frigate Admiral Essen departs for Syrian coast

The Admiral Essen, a Russian frigate equipped with guided Kalibr cruise missiles, left Sevastopol for the Syrian coast on Sunday.
The Essen and the Admiral Grigorovich are the only frigates in the Black Sea Fleet to have carried out cruise missile strikes on ISIS positions in Syria.
