Millions of commuters were affected by a taxi drivers strike which saw clashes between the police and protesters in Bogota on Wednesday, as the industry expressed frustration at competition from ride-sharing apps like Uber & Cabify.
According to information from the Colombian national police in Bogota, 1,000 taxi drivers came out to protest in five planned marches blocking traffic and leading to major disruptions throughout the capital.
