FINALLY… A track that lives up to its title. All hail Hypoxia and their Titan debut ‘Badass’.
A gritty, guttural roller that pulsates with a low-end life of its own, Hypoxia have created this season’s essential late night heads-down jam that will resonate with all sub-genres and sections of the ever-evolving D&B universe.
Get to know Hypoxia: You might not recognise the name – they’ve only had one track out so far, the incredible Space Time on Drum & Bass Arena (http://www.beatport.com/release/drum-and-bass-arena-winter-selection-2013/1199512 – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8FdQ23pFVc) – but we guarantee you’ll be hearing a lot more of them in the future.
Hailing from Belgium, the duo comprises Max and Will. Max is also known as Athys (of Athys and Duster) while Will is known as Synthopia. Madly the pair only got together in the studio for fun, but quickly realised they had something special as they tapped into unique recording techniques such as placing objects on a rumbling sub, recording the rattling sound and layering it into their basses!
Creative, daring and capable of battering any floor with their productions: Hypoxia are already a household name in Belgium. With tracks like ‘Badass’ & ‘Discoshit’, they’re about to become household names globally, too…
