For Generation Z, young people currently in their teens and early 20s, the COVID-19 pandemic has been a defining experience. While it has forced many to delay life plans, such as work, education and travel, youngsters around the world are teeming with innovative ideas to fight the virus and help their communities. In this video, we meet Malak Sabah, 24, who volunteers with the Palestinian civil defence to protect the overcrowded refugee camp of Wavel in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley from the pitfalls of the COVID-19 pandemic.
