China opposes ‘racist remarks’ after Trump calls coronavirus ‘kung flu’ | AFP

The Chinese foreign ministry says that it resolutely opposes the use of the virus origin to stigmatise any country after US president Donald Trump called COVID-19 “kung flu” during a rally. The foreign ministry further urged Canada to release Meng Wanzhou as soon as possible, in an ongoing diplomatic row involving China, Huawei, the US and Canada.
